I totally think the Conor/Aldo fight makes sense, and Conor has earned it. However, you have to admit Conor has been fortunate to get that shot without fighting Chad, Frankie, or Lamas. Three top five guys in the division who would test his wrestling. He will fight most of them anyways, it's just a matter of before or after Aldo.

The UFC picked fights for Conor that matched his style. I would love to see him vs Frankie. If he could stuff Frankie's takedowns all night I would be nightly impressed.

Seriously - it's not like Conor is going to boring decisions with his opponents, he's knocking them out. His only decision was with a torn ACL and he still dominated. He rubs me the wrong way sometimes, but he's not Chael, he's talking because he can and no one has been able to shut him up.

You want to talk about a guy who deserves a title shot, it's Cowboy.
Yep and Cub's best win is a close decision over Dustin Porier. The point is that we can sit here and pick apart anyone's resume and who is perceived as elite or upper tier.

Why didn't any of those guys have to fight eac hother to get a title shot? Frankie got the FW title shot coming off two losses at LW. Lamas beat Erik Koch who is extremely overrated and Chad Mendes beat Rani Yahya to get his first shot. He then beat Cody McKenzie, Yaotzin Meza, Darren Elkins, Clay Guida and Nik Lentz. None of those guys is were a threat to him, they were showcase fights for him to look good against. Lentz is the only guy ranked in the top 10 and he has ZERO top ten wins in his career.

They did the same thing with Chad Mendes, yet no one cared or bitched. There job is to build contenders and put on intriguing fights. Aldo vs Conor will not only sell a ton of PPVs, it will be extremely exciting. The biggest fight in Featherweight history.

Why not have Connor vs Frankie it would sell a ton as well and if Connor wins they do even more for Connor vs Aldo. The. You get two possible big fights.

Because we've already seen Aldo vs Edgar. They're not going to risk burning their biggest star at the moment for another contender fight. Just have Connor fight Edgar, Mendes, Swanson, etc after he wins the title. It'll have much more build up than a contender bout.

Why didn't Frankie and Mendes have to fight? No one else has had to fight a top 5 guy(Conor already beat Porier who was number 5).

I think Gus will beat him with footwork and cardio, but Rumble can end any fight in a heartbeat.

This fight will tell us everything we need to know about how far Rumble has come. How will he respond if he can't overwhelm the other guy with his speed and power? It will be very interesting.

Yeah it was pretty crazy, flying knee to the body and uppercut along the fence.

Brutal KO to open the show by Sam Sicilia, just took Corissani's soul. Pretty much what I expected from Bader and Davis, very close fight that could have gone either way, not the most fan friendly.

man Hendo most likely would have got his ass kicked, and I usually favor the ref for the controversial stoppages, but i have trouble agreeing with that one.

Beautiful performance by Gegard, Hendo was hurt badly but it was a tough call to stop the fight. Hard to tell if Hendo's chin is gone because of the spot he got hit in behind the ear, I've seen a ton of people get hurt from that punch which throws off your equilibrium.
