I thought Cowboy beat him the first time and his tdd is way improved from their first two fights.

Let's go Siver and Cerrone. Can stand that dbag McGregor.
Think McGregor and Benson win though. Cerrone fighting a few weeks ago has to have an affect.

Cerrone was afraid to hurt his buddy. Deserved to lose.

Siver is ranked 10 in the class.

He is completely out-classed.

Conor is the real deal, he just demolished a very good fighter in a way no one has ever done. Not sure how anyone can not like this guy, he is so confident in there and aware.

Rounds 1 and 2 could have gone either way, not a robbery imo. Benson is mostly a point fighter and tries to win rounds. He has gotten a ton of close decisions, this time he gets the other end of the stick.

I to thought Bendo won a very close fight.

Conor is the deal, he completely dominated Siver, but that jump over the cage and hold me back from Aldo was stupid. That said Aldo/McGregor will be good!

McGregor is more than just talk, he absolutely dominated Siver. Can't wait for the Aldo fight, will definitely be a good one.

I'm glad Cerrone won, but i didn't think he did. Bendo is always a tough out.

Siver was outmatched in every way possible. He looks like a 60 yr old hunchback of notre dame. I actually felt bad for him. Conor hasn't fought an above average fighter and he's getting a title shot. Granted he's very good, just obvious how much Dana is trying to push this guy for marketing purposes. It's starting to get a WWE feel.

Bring on Aldo.

Tough to tell if Conor's defense was poor because that's how it is, or if he just had no respect for Siver. I don't see him beating Aldo at all, but it will great to watch.

He beat 3 fighters in the top 15 of the division, 2 of those fighters were top 10. Who has he fought that isn't an above average fighter? Dana is fight promoter, why wouldn't he push one of the most popular fighters he has?

Apparently Pick6 thinks you need to clear out the division before you earn a title shot.

Aldo has already cleared out the division which is also helping Conor. Frankie, Mendes, and Lamas are probably more deserving, but they already had their chance. The fact Conor gets a shot without having to beat any of them, plus Cub and Bermudez is pretty fortunate. They are next best five guys after Aldo. Still, he has crushed who they put in front of him, and the fight makes total sense. Really looking forward to it.

Conor just put on a (brief) clinic out there. He was a bad match-up for Siver, who couldn't even hope to get inside on him, and just took him apart, piece by piece.

Benson should have won, but when you essentially fight to take it to the judges, shit happens. Both guys' reactions after the fight were telling, especially Cowboy's "tha fuck? I won???" expression.

I thought for sure Cowboy lost as well. Cathal Pendred winning his fight was an even worse decision though.

You've obviously never seen Siver fight before, he is a very good all around fighter. Good striker and good grappler with power. There's nothing WWE about it, he's calling his shots and going out and smashing guys in ways they haven't been beaten before. He beat Porier who was ranked number 5 in the world in two minutes, is he not above average? All this outrage about title shots, Frankie Edgar got a shot at Aldo coming off of TWO losses. Chad Mendes got his first crack at Aldo coming off a win over Rani Yahya, then got a bunch of tailor made fighters for him to beat during his 5 fight win streak to get a rematch with Aldo, no one bitched about that did they?

This is the biggest fight you can make in the lighter weight classes right now, and it will definitely be competitive. I'm convinced Conor can strike with anyone in that division, he is a special talent who is extremely accurate and powerful.

dude come on. I'm not trying to devalue McGregor's talent, but he was a -1100 favorite! Not even the odds wit Cormier/Cummins was that high and Cummins just came right off the street from his coffee shop. Your post above show's how weak the division is, so I stand by what i said that he hasn't fought an elite guy yet. I'd like to see him fight Lamas and up, but don't really have a problem with him getting a shot.

The Aldo fight will be a good one and you all know who I'll be pulling for. Let's not act like what McGregor did last night was anything close to amazing.

Odd's are based on the betting public's perception of who will win. Why was Cub Swanson only -175 vs Siver? Those odds are not a reflection on Siver's talent, but of Conor's. I don't think he will beat Aldo, but that point doesn't make sense.

Question for everyone, who have Chad Mendes or Ricardo Lamas(two top 5 FW's) beaten that is elite?

I guess the biggest name for both is Cub Swanson. Otherwise no one.

Seriously - it's not like Conor is going to boring decisions with his opponents, he's knocking them out. His only decision was with a torn ACL and he still dominated. He rubs me the wrong way sometimes, but he's not Chael, he's talking because he can and no one has been able to shut him up.

You want to talk about a guy who deserves a title shot, it's Cowboy.
