A KO like that could basically end Big Country's career. His chin might not vet be the same and he's a fighter that relies in his ability to absorb punishment.

He's been knocked out before, a lot of people forget that. Him vs Bigfoot makes sense.

That was early in his career vs arlovski wasn't it. Was that the same kind of one punch ko as last night.

Yeah that was in 2007 I believe, and yes it was a one punch ko, right hand if I remember correctly. Roy tried to take Mark down multiple times but Hunt is like a damn tree stump, he has improved his tdd and grappling tremendously. Roy will always be in the top 10 but seems to falter in the big fights. He will bounce back and ko a few guys I'm sure.

So The Diamond vs The Notorious and Cowboy vs Alvarez? Who you guys picking?

I think McGregor and Cerrone win. I'm pulling for Poirier though.

The Alvarez/Cerrone fight is real tricky because we just haven't seen Eddie vs. the UFC guys. I'll take Cerrone after hurting Eddie on the feet and then finishing by submission.

I'll take Conor by decision.

Yeah i agree. I think Eddie gets the "octagon jitters" and Cerrone beats him. I like Poirer after seeing a doc on him, but I think McGregor has a better shot of winning the belt.

Weidman broke his hand, bout with Vitor pushed back to February. Hendricks vs Lawler 2 headlines UFC 181 now along with Pettis and Melendez.

He is going to be a superstar, especially if he wins impressively this weekend. He is the next big thing in the lighter weight classes.

Those will be two great fights.

Also, saw on here or on MMA Junkie that Cerrone has fought something like 3 times as much as Pettis and they came over to the UFC at the same time. Pettis is talented but he's always hurt and he's log jamming the best weight class in the UFC.

Great fights on that card. Pettis and Melendez are two of my favorite fighters.

BTW the girls bitching about Pettis's coaching last week on TUF were hilarious. I'm sure 75% of those women don't train at gyms on par with the instruction their getting in the house. Instead of bitching just STFU and learn.

I think I listed the stats about how many times Pettis has fought vs. Cerrone back in this thread at one point, it's nuts. I'm afraid Weidman will never be an active champion either, because he has horrible knee problems.

Regards to Pettis clogging the division, Jon Anik said something on the MMA hour yesterday about how the UFC has like 600+ fighters, and over 100 are at 155. That's why guys like Jury go on six fight winning streaks and aren't even in contention. That division cannot afford to be clogged, unlike HW where even though Cain is hurt, it's not that big of an issue.
