Cummins inability to finish will hurt him. He should have finished last night. Easily.

agreed, but do you think the back-story is the only reason he got a shot in the UFC?

I have no doubt in my mind that last night's card will be better than the next ppv.

^ fan as well but it has passed him by. He got by for a long time with outstanding cardio, short strikes and takedowns, along with being able to move out of trouble. He hasn't improved in some time.

Seems like he only has one path to win, bull his opponent. If he isn't able to do that he struggles. He's not a terrible striker but doesn't seem to have much faith in it. He was landing that looping right hook over the shoulder quite a bit last night on Bermudez.

Get Rumble in a title shot sooner than later. He's a bulldozer at 205. I'd actually like to see him fight Gus then for a title.

Also: The thought of Lawler and Rumble actually holding belts is crazy, but definitely possible.

Silva will kick his ass if he is 100%, but it will be entertaining for sure.

Personally I'd rather see him fight Lawler again. Anderson walks around at 220, i just don't see Nick winning this. Silva coming off back to back losses is the last fight I'd want.

I'd rather see Silva go up to 205 and make a run.

The problem is Diaz is coming off two straight losses, and really besides Paul Daley (and Lawler 10 years ago) doesn't have many big wins on resume. He gets attention though, so they are giving him a gimmick fight. It works because now other welterweights can't complain he is cutting the line. If he wins, he will have a legit argument to get a top contender fight. It will also prove Anderson is totally done and he can retire. If he loses, he was supposed to, and now the UFC can get another big fight out of Silva.

Diaz will fight for the belt if he wins. Either go against Weidman, the only two guys in the UFC to beat Silva, or back to 170. I think ideal scenario is Lawler to win the title and then fight Diaz in a rematch.

What!? A fight vs. Weidman if he wins haha. That's the ideal scenario for Diaz to fight Lawler, but not the UFC. He would be a nightmare to have as champion.

I could see maybe 170, because the UFC is nuts. He might have to change his name to Chael Diaz if that happens though. Anyways, Silva vs. Diaz should be a spectacle at least that should be compelling.

Yeah I'd love to see a rematch with Lawler. Nick will probably lose and get beat down but it will be entertaining. If he can get inside consistently he will have a decent chance to win, Anderson can't take a shot like he once could.

He beat Gomi when Gomi was p4p and the top LW on the planet along with BJ, and smashed a still in his prime BJ Penn. The fight makes perfect sense right now, both coming off losses and not in title contention, both coming off long layoffs. I don't see the problem with fun superfights, MMA fans always want fights to mean something, we always find something to bitch about it seems.

Yep he will fight the winner of Hendricks vs Lawler guaranteed if he somehow beats Anderson. Either one of those would be great fights and very marketable.

I think this fight definitely has meaning. I think if Diaz wins, no matter how close, he's getting a shot at a belt, and if Lawler beats Hendricks the UFC will blow a load announcing that fight. I also think if Silva wins he should move up to 205, i have no interest in seeing him fight Weidman again, only because if he wins, I don't want a 4th fight to clog the division.
