That was hard to watch, no idea what BJ was doing out there tonight. Standing upright, no snap on his punches, just slapping with them. Time to go man, you have nothing left to prove.

Pure domination by Edgar, BJ didn't stand a chance

If your heart isn't in this sport you don't need to compete, you will get hurt. BJ has been checked out since Nick destroyed him a few years ago honestly. He had no fight in him tonight.

Watched the fights yesterday.

Weidman vs Machida was a really good fight. Kinda ironic that Wediman hurt his foot by Machida checking a kick. Once he stopped kicking as much Machida got right into the fight. I was really impressed by Weidman's ability to not only hang, but win the stand up. He should be champ for as long as his knees allow him to be.

BJ looked as bad physically and mentally as I have ever seen a fighter look. I don't think he beats a single 145'er in the UFC last night. I am not sure if was injured, has really slowed down that much, or has brain trauma but that was very sad.

Did anyone expect BJ to win? I don't think BJ even expected to win.

Obviously not, the shot after the fight with his Mom and Dad smiling and laughing after his beating was pretty telling. Everyone in his camp just seemed happy to be there, except BJ.

You can't be serious? Pena needs a couple years with a few wins under her belt against top tier fighters before she would be ready. She would get killed by Rousey right now.

Juiced up Cyborg might have a chance, everyone else gets steam rolled. Ronda is only getting better, she's knocking girls out now, not a one trick pony anymore.

I'd only pay to watch Rousey fight Cyborg, any other woman isn't worth tuning in. I don't care if Cyborg takes all the roids, she's the only one that might give Rousey a fight. They tout Holm as an experienced boxer, well what happens when Rousey runs through a punch? She's going to grab you, throw you, and snap your arm.

Let's be honest for a second. How many times in a WMMA fight do you see someone KO'd? We see many TKO's sure, but actually out cold?

Davis was out, went limp, from ground strikes. Sure the initial standing punch rocked her and I believe the judo throw might have helped with the KO (that is a real possibility with high level judo, getting flash KO'd with a throw).

You just don't see women with that kind of power normally, kind of like the 125 lb men's division, just not enough power to see many KOs.

Now, throw in her insane judo, her arm bars, and I don't think any women on the planet right now has a real shot, not even a clean Cyborg (roided one maybe).

A year or 2 ago I would have given Cyborg a slight advantage due to size and her Muay Thai, but not anymore.

Also - Cyborg has never cut to 135.

You are correct, but she has announced that she has a plan, with the aid of a doctor, to shed some muscle and be on a specific diet/routine to do so, over the next few months that by early Fall she can make 135.

Her recent loss in a MT bout at 145, she said it was her easiest cut ever, no sauna, no severe dehydration for the first time ever. All this was part of her new diet/workout routine.

Basically she is losing muscle/becoming leaner, which we all knew/said all along if she was "clean" and lost some of that roid muscle she could make it to 135.

I can honestly say, that while I think Cat Zigano deserves her shot when she gets back healthy, Cyborg is the only fight for Rousey that I would be excited to see.

I agree, this girl is a different level of athlete and competitor. Cyborg is a freak though too, I saw training footage of Tito getting her in an armbar from guard and she picked his 230 lb ass up and slammed him hard as shit.

Cyborg is freakishly strong, no doubt.

The reason I still believe Ronda would be able to out grapple Cyborg, even with Cyborg's strength advantage, is that Ronda's bronze medal in Olympic Judo was at 154 lb, that was the weight she walked around at, she could have gone 138 lb for Judo but chose not to.

She competed on the world stage against larger/stronger girls. At that time she walked around at between 150-154 (reportedly she walks around at about 145 now, according to her) and didn't cut a lb for the Olympics, which is just plain crazy if you think about it for a grappling martial art.

I think Cyborg could muscle out of some of Rhonda's grappling and keep it on the feet more than anyone else. If it's on the feet Rhonda is going to get beat up bad. It will come down to how much punishment Rhonda can take before she creates some scrambles. Gina had Cyborg's back and I think Rhonda could get favorable positions on the ground too.

I like cyborg in this fight, unless she totally gasses and gets subbed.

Julianna Pena is not better than Davis, not better than Tate, or Carmouche at this point in her career.
She would get destroyed worse than all those.
She wasn't really head and shoulders better than the girls on TUF, just better.

Yeah she is a decent prospect, but a long way from competing with the elite of the division.

That was the most awkward stance BJ used, apparently some local guy from Hawaii found his way into BJ's inner circle and trained him for the fight. He was upright in the air on the balls of his feet throwing slap punches with no power on then, it was really weird to watch. He didn't even give himself a chance to win.

I just watched the Penn/Edgar fight. It's rough seeing a fighter who you have seen kick ass look like that. He had a good career, now he can retire.
