2. He is making much more than $15k per fight, those are only reported numbers not bonuses, not sponsorships, etc.
3. Anthony Pettis, the champion at 155, makes $27k to show, and $27k to win. So your point is proven wrong right there. The best in the world at 155 is listed as making $27k to show, no way in hell Diaz should make $150k to show. You have to realize for the most part anyone under Welterweight is not as "marketable", as in all the big money makers are WW through HW since the bar room fan likes to see KOs and not technique/submissions. Jose Aldo is an exception because he does get the big KOs and even he is only $120k/$120k, so still less than what you think Diaz should make. Aldo is probably the best P4P fighter on the planet and you want Diaz making more than him.
Pettis is on his first deal with the UFC most likely, Nate has been there 7 years and has had 19 fights, huge difference there. I realize he is making way more than 15/15 but sponsorships don't belong in this conversation with guaranteed purse, that is entirely separate. Bonuses are also earned, I don't know how his contract is structured but 15/15 just looks bad, and he is clearly not happy with it. Like you said though he signed it, but perhaps his manager failed to get the right deal or explain it fully. Aldo gets PPV cut as well so that 120K is useless. A good comparison for Nate would be someone like Michael Bisping, both have had a ton of fights in the UFC and have been there for a long time. Bisping makes 275K to show.
