Not every fight is going to be great but the UFC needs to put on better match ups that are going to draw the casual fans in. This card was the first card in almost a year that was underwhelming, I honestly can't remember a PPV within the last 6-8 months that hasn't been great. They have been on a great run recently but they have to analyze the potential of these match ups. To us,the hardcore fans, we enjoy the whole set skills of MMA, grappling included. The casual fan viewing for the first time wants to see something exciting, more so in the stand up. Then as they become interested they can learn the ground game and positioning and battling for submissions and things of that nature. Nick Diaz vs Carlos Condit should have been the fight they put on FOX.
I 100% agree with you, my background/interest in in grappling. I have studied wrestling, BJJ, and Judo and that's the part of the sport I love. I was being semi-sarcastic about the Fox thing since I knew they inked a 7 year deal.
I was just saying since a huge portion of the viewers on the network cards are casual fans last night had to go over like a lead balloon.
