Guida had no intention of doing anything but laying on pettis and defending submission, this and the miguel torres/might mouse fight last week shows that no matter how good your jiu jitsu is that you can't win a decision from the bottom

ridiculous, the most substantial damage he did were shoulder bumps, his only game plan was to take him down and stall while avoiding submissions, i'll never respect fighters who don't try and finish fights and who fight not to lose, fuck greg jackson and his gameplans

I definitely agree. I wouldn't buy a card for one great fight, though, and the rest of it looks kinda lacking.

I'm interested to see Kenny Florian at 145, I think he can give Aldo all he can handle if he can get by Nunes.

That part is true, but wouldn't that be true in a real fight as well? I mean if MMA is supposed to be the closest thing to a real fight as iegally aloud to have in a sport, why wouldn't that be true?

You get a real 1 on 1 fight out there between someone with a Muay Thai blackbelt (only) and someone who was just a decent HS wrestler, the HS wrestler will win that fight.

Not so if the Muay Thai fighter has a black belt in BJJ as well, then the wrestler had better be at least well versed in submission grappling.

Its realistic, so I don't see the problem with saying wrestling is the easiest "martial art" to dominate a fight with, since its true in a real fight.

Street fights have no rules....so i wouldn't say being well versed in a martial art will always translate into "i can win any street fight"
