Well said. I just thought it was interesting that with Battlefield and COD just getting into the "check it out we have online stats' game (and COD charging for it) that Bungie is like "check this shit out, a real time map and radar for on your phone".
The networking behind that stuff is probably crazy and you won't ever see a Cloudfare error on it.

1: I liked the remake and the multiplayer was just Reach maps with different physics turned on and the old weapons. They didn't remake the multiplayer in code.
2: Bungie didn't make the remake. 343 Studios did.

I know...but if you're going to remake one of the ground-breaking FPS/Multiplayer games of all time, you should at least make it like the original. I was so disappointed when I played it. I listed it on eBay the next day.I Wear Pants;1009421 wrote:Two things,

Are you talking about the campaign or the multiplayer? Because the campaign was literally the same. It was the same code. What they did was overlay parts of a new graphics engine overtop of it for the new look. If you mean the multiplayer then I bet that decision was based on them not wanting to fragment the Halo player base any more than it is and also probably because it may have been difficult to write all new netcode since the original never had online play.

I can agree with that. Even if it isn't something I end up using much (don't know if I will since I haven't used it yet) I find it fascinating.
