at 138, you might get one of those guys to "sneak in" but to say both are getting in is unrealistic. 138 at Darby is pretty loaded with Forrider, Ryan, McDougal, Johnson just to name a few.
113 and 170 will also be tough.
Heavy is prolly the 2nd or 3rd deepest weight at Darby so I dont see that happening, but you know how heavy wrestling goes...anything can happen.
The most wide open weight is 120.
Good luck to the City boys tho!

No disrespect to the city league, as I am a HUGE city league fan and former wrestler myself, but 9 state qualifiers would be unprecedented. All the guys you mentioned have a shot, but I'm not so sure how many are likely.

I think the only lock is Gusan at Hwt and the max is 4 and I too am a former city wrestler so I would love to see 9 but I think some may not know just how hard it is to get to that level.

Here’s the division breakdown on these kids.

Division I
Conklin (whetstone)
Alexander(Northland)

Farias & Stockton (west)

Division II
Messer (MF)
Mills (Mifflin)
Patrick (MF)
Gusan (WR)

Gray(MF)

It would be awesome for Columbus City League wrestling to have multiple wrestlers get out and all of the above guys have a shot. We’ll have to wait and see what happens this weekend at sectionals and see how many make it out to districts then see what their draw looks like. I do think there will be a large number of district qualifiers this weekend maybe more that in the last 5-6 years. I my memory is right 2 years ago the City had 22 DQ of which 2 where SQ and 1 placed. I wish all the City kids well this weekend lets take it to the next level.

thats why i said Gusan and Gray will make it out at heavy with them wrestling D2....especially if there on different sides of the bracket.....mills and messer have a good shot and Patrick should make it out maybe even place top 5 as well as Gusan....both are really good wrestlers

Things look good for conklin and lehnen over at whetstone. Lehnen a pretty sure bet to be a dq, Conklin will have to beat a tough Watkins kid but very doable.

I would personally have no problem putting him up with any of the guys mentioned above. I still think he is that good. only time will tell though.
