Still don't know how Norwayne pulled it out with Kenton having the Ace Hardware Week 14 player of the game on their side?
Another impressive win....I think everything after week 11 was the same old story...they didn't get respect and went out and earned it. Workmanlike.

All I can say is that I watched the OU-North Illinois game Friday night and this game Saturday. If you'd asked me which game was high school and which one was mid-major college, I would have guessed this one was played by people at a higher level. Just an amazing game to watch.

Well I'm one of those that thought our kids (Kenton) would be prepared. For the most part they were but overall Norwayne made fewer mistakes and played the gameplan to perfection. There is no excuse only priase for the winners of Norwayne. You guys deserve it and congrats. The better prepared team won the game Saturday. The key to the game for Norwayne was taking the running lanes away from Maty and getting the pressure on him every pass play.

Norwayne may be back, I dont know what they usually have, but dont expect kenton to be back anytime soon. Without a Mauk at QB they really havent been much to be reckoned with. Their JV squads are typically pretty bad and they dont do a very good job at getting another QB ready to take over this offense.
Just as a reference to that, since the late 90's....
With a Mauk at QB the team I follow has been 4-4 vs Kenton.
Without a Mauk at QB our team is 6-0 vs the wildcats.
So in total since the middled 90s this team posted a 10-4 record vs kenton.
Kenton has won WBL titles 1 time, 1998, without a Mauk at QB since the 90's. They won it 6 times with a Mauk at QB.
Kenton has 9 playoff appearances. 1998, 2003 and 2005 were without a Mauk at QB and the rest were with a Mauk.
The Wildcats do have a good season, 2003, where they were runners up in DIII without a Mauk at QB.
In the 6 matchups when Kenton didnt have a mauk the avg score was 28.8-8.
In the 8 matchups when kenton HAD a mauk the avg score was 35.1-32.3.
What does that tell us?
Nothing. Other than Kenton has been very good with a Mauk at QB..........but....
