I say this all over the place, but comparing one loss doesn't mean anything because that only showed what your team couldn't do on one day. I'm more concerned with what your team could do over the course of the entire season.

For example, Michigan beat three teams with a winning record all season and less than half of their conference had a winning record overall. Also, while you were talking about unranked teams and close calls, Michigan beat Ball State by 8 points two weeks before losing to Ohio State.
I don't know, Michigan did beat Wisconsin (and that was Wisconsin's only loss that year) and Penn State who also finished ranked. They also smoked ND at ND when ND was #2/3. Michigan's resume was more impressive that season than Bama's this season. I am not saying Michigan that season was a better team than Bama this season; however, the resume was more impressive.

Let me guess, you went off the link that has alot of B12 teams in the top 15 for SOS? Dont know the reason why they do that or think that.

I hope OK state wins by 2 tds today. If that happens i dont think they can keep them out of the natl champ game.

The only reason Michigan didn't play Ohio State in 2006 was because people didn't want to see a rematch. Look no further than the poll results from that year. Weeks 13 and 14 after the OSU-UM game Michigan was ahead of Florida, then week 15 Florida was above Michigan. If Oklahoma State wins today I wouldn't be shocked to see the same thing happen again.

I love how ESPN conveniently does not mention that Oklahoma State has a better SOS than 'Bama. I guess they are too busy brushing this game to the side and beginning their pregame buildup of the pillow fight err I mean rematch between LSU and Alabama.

I really don't want to watch another FG kicking contest.

It would cure many people's insomnia, so it has that going for them.

I wish OK State would've canceled their game versus Iowa State...or better yet still have the women's basketball coach still alive. I don't know if any players had heavy hearts at all or if several did....but that was the worst all-around day in OK State history.

I've spent much time deliberating on this and just decided to do what, as a mod, I do best: pretend nothing happened.

PROBLEM. SOLVED.
