Pitt is the worst matchup in the AFC for the Bengals. No JJo and now Hall to match up with their speed at WR and no Shipley to counterattack the Pitt blitz. Dunlap is out again so they lose their best shot at getting to Ben.

I think this could be the week Cincy takes a step back. They ran out of gas in 2009 and I'm afraid it will happen again.

Ben Roethlisberger says if he had a vote for Rookie of the Year, he'd give it to Dalton

Not surprising he would pick a guy that plays similar to the way Ben did early in his career. I think Dalton and Green will split votes and either Newton or Miller (if Denver wins a couple more games) will win ROY

I don't think Cincinnati matches up as well defensively vs. the Steelers offense as they do against other teams.

I though the first game the Steelers had a lot open for the taking. Particularly in the first half. If they don't get to Ben he can light em up.

That said, Dalton has shown the past few weeks he can rally the team and engineer some clutch drives, if they fall behind. I don't think the Steelers can pull away from Cincy because of this.

If the Steelers win by 10, for example, it will probably be a game where it's only three points until very late and maybe they get a pick six to seal it. Other than that, it will be close.

Both Polamalu and Woodley practiced Thursday.

I'd say Polamalu, Harrison and Woodley are the Steelers three best impact players on defense and they may have all three in the lineup for the first time since Week 4.

Will that make a difference? It might.

Well there are two separate awards. One for offense and one for defense so Miller is not in this conversation. Newton will win it because of his numbers and effect on the way the media is now looking at the Panthers. I think Andy is the most valuable rookie at this point, but that is not the award.

I think for the Bengals to win this one, the 3rd down defense will have to be better. They did a good job getting to Big Ben in the first matchup (5 Sacks) but gave up too many big 3rd down conversions. Should be interesting.

Larry Foote out for today's game but Lamarr Woodley and Troy Polamalu are active. Good to see Woodley is back. Stevenson Sylvester is also active.

I have to stay in control this game.

Dear Lord, I know there are a zillion more important things to deal with in the great world of yours....but could you please let today's touchdowns be obvious, the refereeing good and fair and for the game to have little doubt and for Phil Simms to not talk until 4:30 pm.

Thanks You...in Jesus name we pray...Amen

Outside of who he plays for, if you like football you should like Polamalu.
