They are a jump shooting team, he should have been breaking the D down and getting them involved. He is young and will learn. I see why they have Curry run point though so far.

Their one athletic player(Plumlee) just isn't a basketball player. He's going to have to develope more than a back down half hook move for Duke to be in the race at the end.

Tough to make your jumpers with long athletes flying in your face all night.

Not really, most shooters will tell you its just as easy if not easier with someone coming at you. gives you somethin to shoot over

Yea, lets not underestimate the defense for OSU. Craft and Smith on the perimeter could be the best defensive backcourt in the country.

Lol I love how they always talk about depth. Get over that already. Depth didn't hurt us last year against kentucky. We just played like balls

Duke wasn't even able to get get clean looks off. OSU guarded the 3 as well as I've seen a team guard Duke. They made them a 2 point shooting team and made Duke go into a 1-on-1 style of game, which isn't Duke.

No, you're right. Shooters makes just as high a percentage of contested jumpers as they do uncontested ones.

Oh, I was directing that at you, just making a statement since most of the love for the Bucks tonight was for the offense.

Its strange to see Duke with numerous players not ready for a big time game like that. Rivers and Plumlee were the only ones that showed up lol. Part of that was just the others being young or inexperienced, but id say most of it was bc of Osu's defense

It's an easy scapegoat.

The Buckeyes have been developing depth. All those freshman have been playing. The only two games we haven't really utilized our depth is Florida and Duke. Matta is bringing them along nicely. I don't think you need a team that's 10 deep. Come tourney time, most teams shorten the bench anyway.

OSU's defense was exceptional. Craft took away Curry, Buford took away Dawkins, and Thomas took away Kelly. They made duke a 2 point shooting team and didn't foul. What a great win against a very good team.

If you're a d1 player, who is a good shooter. someone closing out on you and contesting isnt gonna bother you that much at all. You dont change your shot, contested or uncontested. I mean honestly how often do you see a jumpshot blocked/

It might not bother the shooter, but it bothers the coach and the fans because chances are much higher that you miss when you are contested.

4-2 Big Ten after today, but this game should count for 2. That was an ass beating.

Coach K seems to be playing the "We've played a brutal schedule, they were much fresher" card in the postgame.
