Coach K on Ohio State: They were most deserving of a win. They were just a lot fresher and more athletic.

Coach K can play whatever card he wants and I'm sure the duke fans will follow his lead. The real story is that Kelly and Dawkins can't guard athletic wings and Dawkins and Curry are catch and shoot players who were defended brilliantly by Buford and Craft respectively.

Coach K should just accept the beating and not make excuses. It happens to the best of teams; even his.

My biggest concern going in was OSU's perimeter defense, and they played it exceptionally well tonight. The best defense I've seen an OSU team play in a long, long time; especially considering the quality of the opponent.

When you take away Duke's three point shooting, you make them have to play more as athlete on athlete, and they simply aren't that athletic of a team. Great basketball players; not great athletes, for the most part.

OSU clearly had a significant edge in this area.

I can honestly say I've been watching OSU basketball since the Final Four days of Bill Hosket, and this was one of the most impressive overall wins I can recall.

I also retract my previous statements earlier this year about Aaron Craft not being a Top 5 PG. Nobody understands and plays both sides of the ball like he does.

The only real question this team has is depth, especially at the 2 spot. I think (hope) that Ross answers that.

The Blue Devils are a little deeper than the Bucks in my mind and get a bit worn down by the end of the game. And then at the end I walk out of the Schott proudly sporting my Duke Blue Devil attire! Go Duke!"

IN REALITY
Oops. Ryan Kelly? 0 pts. 3 reb. Deshaun Thomas: 18 pts. 5 reb. William Buford: 20 pts. 5 reb. 4 ast.

Ohio State looked reeeeeeeeeally good tonight. National Title Good. *Knock on Wood*

Although I thought Duke was overrated coming in, I still never imagined this would be the result of the game...and I couldn't be happier!

Well, that certainly was unsuccessful.

If the Buckeyes can find a way to shoot the ball with the consistency they displayed tonight on a more regular occurrence, they have a chance to do some things in March. Duke is still a very good team that will grow and get better, but they got their asses busted tonight.

Just got back from Columbus and the Schott was as festive as I've ever heard it. I will never attend another game there, though. Duke is sometimes given the label of "Harvard of the South." I can't imagine why "Maryland of the Midwest" hasn't caught on for Ohio State..

As for what I think OSU will score? OSU wont want to run with Duke. Sully wont be able to play a game that will require him to run the whole game. DId you ever think that? Maybe Belmont was playing with players that like an uptempo game hence the score?

Look at the teams that play with big men.........Kansas 61 pts, Davidson 67, Tenn. 67, MSU 69.

I am no bandwagoner but you are an idiot. Read a book about basketball before questioning me.

My favorite part is the osu wont way to run with duke. Duke is average when it comes to being athletic. It'd be poor of it wasn't for the freak that rivers is. But after the game Buford said part of the plan was to run because duke doesn't want to run... Lol cc.

The difference in this game ....Aaron Craft. What he did on both ends of the court was pretty amazing. As I have said, I am not sure I have seen a better overall defender. His ball pressure, his positioning, getting loose balls, stripping the ball. If you fall asleep for a second, he will eat you alive. He dominated Curry last nite. He was the ball overall guard on the floor last nite.
Rivers is the real deal. The kid has unbelievable quickness, change of direction while being able to put the ball on the floor. His crossover is just sick. Not many, even pros, can do what he does with the ball. I thought Lenzelle played him pretty well. But when Lenzelle went out, Rivers ate up Siebert and anyone else.
Disappointed that K would make excuses as he did. He was whinning like a bitch during most of the game. I loved seeing Valentine (who I despise), give him the hand in face. He also walked away from K during the game, and kept his back to him while K was yelling. It was pretty funny.
Thomas is the X factor of this team. If he can play consistantly as he did, OSU would be VERY tough to beat. We all know what won't happen every nite. But if he can continue to get his 12-15, the trio of him, Buford and Sully make it really difficult to defend. Liked seeing Craft finally knock down some shots as well. He had been struggling on the season.
Overall, great game by the Bucks. Good to see them get the lead AND keep the lead.

excellent win for the Buckeyes, and a great crowd at the Schott...however, I hate it when the students chant "overrated"--why would you diminish your teams' win by saying that the team they just beat is overrated? I would think you'd want to acknowledge that the team they just defeated was awesome, therefore making your team even more awesome for kicking their ass...it just doesn't make sense to me

I completely agree. The overrated chant is the dumbest chant a winning team could do.

Also, with as well as Rivers was playing last night, no reason for the '"Daddy's Boy" chant.

Buckeyes looked amazing. Craft, Bufford and Sullinger did their usual thing. Thomas played like the man everyone expected him to be coming out of Indiana. Smith was good on defense on the perimeter. Ravenal also with solid contribution on D.

I forget the play, but after one particularly impressive offensive play, EVERYONE failed to get back on D and gave up an easy dunk to one of the Plumlee's, that will be discussed today I'm sure.

Yeah after OSU blows out the #4 ranked team by over 20 pts, we're really going to discuss one bad defensive play. /sarcasm.
