Look people I apologize for coming down on all of you. Yes it will be an awesome game and both teams are sportsman. The quotes I posted are straight from Maty's FB page so he is the one that found the quotes and obviously used them for inspiration. And old wildcat you should call someone a jerk for being so proud. I would love to have a tailgate with you. My son is a starter and you hear his name called alot. I am a very proud parent and will always support them. I'll simply sit back now and let the kids do the talking on the field. Best of luck to both teams and may it be an injury free game.

This post is more like it. IMO posters do not need to be rude to show your pride. Just make a prediction like Kenton 52 - Norwayne 14. That tells it all. I am sure I have been cheering for your son and praying for his saftey regulary as I do for the entire team. Would welcome you to tailgate anytime. I might get there early enough to meet the Kenton fans before I head over to join the WCAL faithful.

If someone actually posted that Wallace was going to have a better game, Facebook or anywhere else, they're either high school kids or Kenton fans (at least for this game) hoping to stir the team.

Per the Daily Record, the three-headed running attack for Norwayne has 2,715 rushing yards on the season, while Wallace has 2,677 passing. That doesn't include any 2nd stringers at the end of games, but it would show the balance this starting offense has.

Just like the Norwayne/Orrville and Norwayne/Johnstown-Monroe games, I'll have a red Ford ranger truck w/ cap for the tailgate tomorrow. I thinking about putting up the EZ-up, too. If I can find a folding table, I'll have that out to set stuff on. We should be set on bratwursts, and I have double-digit burgers. Drinks should be fine, too. Thanks to those who offered to bring things. Still feel free, but hopefully we won't need it.

Ecstatic for this game tomorrow!! There's going to be some fireworks for sure, and definitely going to be some points put on the board. A great type of game for those who fancy offense! Looking forward to a great game, and to both teams, know that you have made your schools, communities, and counties proud! Go Cats!

I gave a letter to the team b4 the Hillsdale game telling them how we got mad as hell when our Daily Record "unanimously" picked H-dale to beat us....,in their very 1st game in the WC league. DR even had a nice article picking them to possibly win the title in their 1st yr. Still remember their 2 huge tackles....Hoover & Moffit. Also had the high hurdle champ, Brian Bodager, at running back. We got off the bus looking for anything in blue & gold to punch in the mouth. Never seen my team that friggin' mad. We went to war & REFUSED to lose. We took everything they had...then we took their heart. H-dale finished dead last that yr.,& it took them 41yrs to win the title. My letter to them was 2 pages but the words I kept repeating to Adam & his team were....REFUSE to lose. Sure looked like that was in their heads on that last drive. Since then, I have used those words in numerous posts, emails, & comments in the DR since the H-dale game. Most every playoff game we were not favored, and behind in most games, but damned if they haven't just...,REFUSED to lose.

Maybe Kenton is unbeatable. Maybe. Then i had a Piffiny. What would i do against a QB as great as Mauk w/all the National passing records?? I'd make him run. Every single play. I would see he had 50 carries if i could. You have a better chance against a running team if you can make them pass...yes? At 185lbs, Mauk may be a "punishing" runner, but I'll take Wallace(just as fast & 20-25lbs bigger)& co., "laying the wood" to him as our best chance to win. Yes, he makes you miss...,but not every run. I would jam up all those wideouts at the line & get after him. Every down. Make the passer run & be the only ball carrier. He'd start "sliding down after 4 or 5 good sloberknockers. Maybe not, but I like my chances alot better when i get a chance to lay a big hit on the passing QB....every down. Also noticed he's @7yds deep on the snap. Good idea. He doesn't have to drop any further so he just steps & throws. But...,this makes for a longer snap from the center. He has 2b good every time bc bad snaps would mess things up. I would..,& have, put my meanest man on the center & had him "blast that center on his back the second you see that ball move." Do it the 1st 2 downs b4 it moves..,just so he knows what he's in for....all night long. Couple off-sides penalties to start the game is ok. There will be bad snaps. Don't get pissy. They all wear pads & a helmet. You think for 1 sec. I'm gonna let Mauk sit back there & pick me apart...,& just runs when HE wants to......yer crazy. This is the State title game & I'm givin' my team the best chance at winning. Prolly ain't gonna happen. :mad: I ain't the coach. I'm just sayin'.
