God you guys make it brutal trying to read a Duke thread.

This thread is filled with Ohio State and UNC fans. I mean, those two schools never get a call or a break. This crap has been overwhelming since the early days of the huddle.

Duke has historically gotten to the line at such an "alarming rate" because it has historically had a bevy of really good penetrators. It's not calculus. You don't need a scientific calculator for this.

This year's edition may not have the invincible creators that the Blue Devils have had in the past, such as 2001's lethal duo of Jason Williams and Chris Duhon, but Austin Rivers and Seth Curry can get inside the arc and create free-throw opportunities with regularity. And Mason Plumlee has developed a much better turn and face game in the paint, where, when he catches the ball, he is looking to make a move and that often results in a trip to the line.

Yeah, because Duke takes guys like the dude on your avatar and takes them to the final 4. Everyone should hate them.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I'm not sure I follow. The guy on my avatar is a Kansas Jayhawk, who is in the middle of the game of his life while leading the hawks to a quadrupling of Tyler Hansbrough in the Final Four.

Unfortunately I missed the majority of this game...saw a few minutes of the first half, didn't look good. Duke wasn't playing well (credit KU for good D..they're awlays going to be in games like this because Bill Self can really get his players to play D) in the few minutes I saw; a bit alarming that they couldn't take a lead despite Duke's temporary poor play.

As for Tyshawn Taylor. He's not consistenly good; but when he's on, he's fucking tough. I'm just hoping that he is on come tourney time. Or else KU is F'd.

p.s. i'm expecting a 3-5th place finish in the Big 12 this year, unfortunately.

DeyDurkie is only laughing out loud because his arguments consist entirely upon "talking points" that he's found at TruthAboutDuke.com, which, in its "Blue Devil Backcourts By Year" section, probably lists only Lee Melchionni, Marty Pocius and other anglo-saxons for all of the 2000s.
