5. This season college football is weak overall, which is the only reason LSU is even considered in BCS title talk. In strong college football years, LSU is not even close to the title game.

Because MAC schools are not only superior academically to most SEC schools, but most MAC schools would beat SEC schools. Bama, Arkansas and maybe Georgia are the only ones that could beat the best MAC school 50% of the time.

Another fluke win for LSU. Arkansas proves that the SEC is overrated. Whatever SEC team that goes to the national title game will get blown out. SEC=Overrated
