I've yet to use it though.

I'm of no help.

I would use it more if there was a free iPhone App (free, as in, no subscription cost), and you had the ability to play to remote speakers. I use iTunes every day.

Well I read thru that previous thread. Seeing as how it's closed, perhaps we can keep this one going?

There's no iPhone app? (obviously I haven't checked yet)

Yeah, but you've got to pay for the service. It's $9.99 month and you get no ads, the app, and can sync offline playlists.

Is the iPhone app just like the computer app, where you can listen to just about anything, or do you have to create playlists on your computer, and those playlists (whatever you want) sync with the app?

I love it, have it for my Windows Phone. Really nice.

And yes the mobile app works just like the desktop one, you can play/search for anything.

I subscribe to Spotify because my computer with iTunes and all my music crashed and I was due for a new iPod (screen got scratched up). With a 4G phone and unlimited data plan I think it works great. Plus its one less device to carry around.

My only complaint is that the mobile app doesn't list your library by album like the desktop program does. It lists your songs alphabetically. This can be avoided if you create playlists but I'm just lazy.

Slacker Radio is good enough for me. I also use iHeart radio to listen to real radio.

Spotify takes on Pandora radio.
Spotify on Friday unveiled Spotify Radio, a new service similar to Pandora that will roll out as an extension to the company’s desktop client. The service allows users to create artist-based stations that will stream an unlimited amount of music similar to the artist selected. Spotify Radio users can also skip an unlimited number of songs and save tracks as they play for on-demand listening later as well. The app and associated service are a welcome addition to Spotify, which has had very limited discovery features until now. The free Spotify Radio app is currently available as a preview and it is expected to land in Spotify’s app catalog within the next few days. Spotify has not indicated whether or not its new radio service will make its way to the company’s mobile apps.
What are everyone's thoughts? The two underlined statements above (I believe) are the competitive advantage that will make Spotify > Pandora. It'll be interesting to see how this plays out.

Never been a fan of pandora tbh. Their artist stations I always found terrible for finding similar artists. Last.fm still has the best stations I think and the iphone app is free.

Sure does.
[Cool Story] Someone was playing a Rhiana station and Neil Young Sugar Mountain came on after a Rhiana song[/Cool Story].

That's pretty terrible similar artists and why Pandora sucks. They should hire Ender to rewrite their scripts.

It's also extremely repetitive.
