I think the Ravens, despite being a slightly worse team, win this one at home. I see this as a kind of signature game for the Ravens. Yeah they beat the Steelers twice but the bad loses and inconsistencies are keeping this team from being on the GB n SF level.
Good news is, outside of those two teams everyone in the league is kind of in the same boat. No one wants to stake claim as elite with SF and GB. Every team has their issues.
The Ravens need home field if they want to make it out of the AFC, another reason this game is a big one. I don't want to see the Ravens have to go to PGH again. Tough to beat PGH 3 times in a season and the Ravens track record against Squeelers in the post season speaks for itself.

If it were the BCS, since the Niners play in the NFC West they probably would not get a bid to the Super Bowl. I think the 49ers are a peaking too early team and will lose the first game in the playoffs. I think the Ravens will win this game but could go either way. Come playoff time I'd take the Ravens every time.
