Fuck NASCAR's top 35 rule, which was the only reason Reutimann was even trying to limp it home.

Anyone hear the in car with Carl Edwards mid way through the race? Pretty funny. Told Bob Osbourne his transmission was breaking, then after Osbourne quit freaking out, told him April Fools.

Top 35 rule is and has always been a fucking joke. NOBODY should be guaranteed a starting spot. You're Jeff Gordon? You spun out in qualifying and qualified 46th? Fuck you. You're not racing this weekend. Go home. Would make qualifying interesting again.

He's a dipshit anyhow.

Look at it business wise, how many sponsors would leave NASCAR if their car and driver were occasionally not in the race?
Maybe make the rule top 30 in points but not sure who that would benefit.

Jobs for the drivers in NASCAR are tough to keep. If Dale Jr wasn't better known for his last name, he would have been a lifer in the Nationwide series.

The top 35 rule is all about the $$$$.

Sponsors didn't leave the big boys in the 90's when they occasionally missed races.

I would have to put my votes on:

Buck Baker
Curtis Turner
Tim Flock
Fireball Roberts
Raymond Park

Obviously I think Hendrick should get the car owner nod, but I don't think they should be eligible for the Hall Of Fame if they are still active in the sport.

Will he only do laps trying not get into trouble or will he actually race?

Chad Hackenbracht led a restart w/ 5 to go, got drafted by Brandon MACreynolds & Matt Lofton, then pushed Brandon to win and almost got 2nd. Pretty good run for an Ohio kid.
Also was one helluva rollover wreck in the trioval earlier in the race. Guy was ok. 6&1/2 rolls, engine ripped apart from the mounts, car was slammed.
Brandon ran out of gas coming to the checker at Daytona. His godfather is Davey Allison.

Looks like we're on pace to overheat the whole field, thanks to the fact that it's hot as balls and NASCAR's overreaction to the tandem racing.

Ragan will host Craig Krenzel, quarterback of the 2002 National Champion Ohio State Buckeyes. Krenzel is now a principal with Arthur, Krenzel, Lett Insurance Group, which will be an associate sponsor on the 34 car this weekend.
