By the way, good game OSU. As a Michigan fan, I can say you should be proud. You went on the road as underdogs and gave it all you could! Honestly, this game was as close as it could have been. The difference is this. Robinson can win it and Miller can lose it. Miller looked terrible throwing it. Sure, he hit a couple of passes, but probably out of luck if anything.

Yeah, it filled up. You couldn't even see the field. Here's the field about 10 minutes after that I took on my phone.GoChiefs;988820 wrote:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6NlRRu1yICc&feature=youtube_gdata_player

Denard had a great game, but 335 yards by Miller ain't too shabby, and I doubt it was luck. Your skunkbears will be facing him for three more years, so I'd just savor this victory and refrain from such ignorant statements...just sayin'areyoukiddingme;988834 wrote:Robinson can win it and Miller can lose it. Indeed. It took Robinson 4 years to finally put together a strong game against Ohio State (albeit the worst Buckeye team a quarter of a century). But freshman Braxton Miller kept the pressure on the Weasles in the friendly confides of the Big Louse. What took Robinson 4 seasons to accomplish, Miller did in his first season in THE GAME. If I were a Meatchicken fan I wouldn't be thumping my chest too loudly.vball10set;988836 wrote:Denard had a great game, but 335 yards by Miller ain't too shabby, and I doubt it was luck. Let them have their fun, it may be a long time (more than the previous 2926 days) before they get to "eat" again.

We now have a coach that can, well, coach. Seems like a lot of OSU fans are forgetting that we have a first year coach under the helm. He turned the program around and had a 10-2 season. He will get talent because of that. OSU isn't the only team thats going to get better.
We heard the thumping for the last 7 years, don't act like we are out of line because we can finally do the chest thumping. What comes around, goes around. The gloating we heard when OSU beat a 3 WIN Michigan team a few years ago was unreal, yet, we are doing something wrong for gloating about beating a 6 win Buckeye team?

Again, probably already addressed earlier in the thread...but I'm lazy. Why was Shazier in there? I understand when healthy, the guy is an animal (another reason why this coaching staff needs to go) but he was clearly hurt and slowed a ton. He couldn't move, and they picked on him all second half. Really frustrating to sit and watch and wonder how no one else could come in.

Sorry, we have different definitions of "rushing" the field. No one rushed immediately. In fact, the team went over into the student section to celebrate, and no one was on the field at that time. People on the field 10 minutes later isn't rushing.vball10set;988837 wrote:come on now Webbie, does this septennial event have you overwhelmed and unable to think clearly? stay classy, my friend
And what does this have to do with being classy?
Edit: Let me clarify that I realize people came onto the field. But when I think of rush, I think of the immediate chaos of people rushing and filling the field when the clock hits zero. The video I watched had none of that. The fans filtered on later.
Edit #2: I could care less if they did rush the field. They earned it. I just think it's foolish that some Bucks fans thought they shouldn't.

I'm guessing you are in your mid-20s, and have no idea the history of this rivalry.

This game won't be remembered by the outcome, moreso the controversy surrounding OSU that resulted in a 6-6 season and a loss to Michigan.
OSU was supposed to lose this game. Anyone saying otherwise is a liar.

smh...I could care less that they rushed the field as well, and I agree that they earned it--the fact of the matter is that YOU SAID THEY WOULDN'T, and now you're back tracking (that's what I meant by staying classy). No, what I said is that Big House is usually pretty good about not allowing the choatic, goal posted take down rushes. I never said they wouldn't or shouldn't.vball10set;988937 wrote:smh...I could care less that they rushed the field as well, and I agree that they earned it--the fact of the matter is that YOU SAID THEY WOULDN'T, and now you're back tracking (that's what I meant by staying classy). I don't see anything about goal posts being taken down, but you did say you doubted they would storm the field. Yes, I could have interpreted what you were trying to say, but I can only take what you post at face value.WebFire;988939 wrote:No, what I said is that Big House is usually pretty good about not allowing the choatic, goal posted take down rushes. btw, 335 total yards by a FRESHMAN, at the big house, against a Greg Mattison led defense--with Urban Meyer coming in as our HC next season. Damn, other than yeterday's septennial setback, it sure feels good to be a Buckeye

Just think, a Greg Mattison defense, without his type of players, and the improvement from one of the worst to one of the best in 1 season with the same RR players...it's a good time to be a Wolverine.

I was thinking about this; people were saying how bad OSU's defense was and that it was the difference in the game. How about how bad Michigan's defense played in the game? Came into The Game with the following rankings: Top 20 Total Defense, Top 10 Scoring Defense, Top 20 Passing Defense, Top 20 in Turnovers... Oh, wait, that was because Miller had such a great game; smh.WebFire;988960 wrote:You can take it however you want.

Michigan had by far it's worst game in the secondary. It looked more like last year's secondary. I wonder if they gameplanned so much against the run that it left them vulnerable? If so, good gameplan by OSU.bigkahuna;988977 wrote:I was thinking about this; people were saying how bad OSU's defense was and that it was the difference in the game. imagine that, in week 12 of the season, at home, on senior day against their arch rival who they haven't beat in 7 years, against a true freshman quarterback...and it was because of OSU's gameplanning? interestingWebFire;989008 wrote:Michigan had by far it's worst game in the secondary

On defense, 2 that start, 1 that gets a lot of time (2 being true frosh), and 1 that would have had he not gotten hurt.vball10set;989013 wrote:Well, I guess we'll have to wait and see...btw, for the record, how many freshman and sophomores were on the field for tsun? just curious
Funny you want to use this excuse. When Michigan was young it didn't seem to matter.
FYI, the defense only loses 3 starters (really only 2, I think Woolfolk started for novelty reasons in the 2nd half of the year). The classes Hoke is bringing in will be much better than the last few years on the defensive side of the ball. The defense will only get better with Mattison in charge.
