Right. CFB started in 1998. Or was it 2002? Got it.

I knew this Monday would eventually come. scUM fans can talk all they want...they've been waiting a while for the opportunity. ;) I'm not even mad about the loss, I was just happy it was a close, entertaining game.

After the previous two weeks I thought we would get rolled. The coaches surprisingly called a great game offensively.

They also won the 2000 Orange Bowl, defeating Alabama.

I only do this because, in retrospect, their BCS record when stacked up against Ohio State is laughably terrible. But give credit where credit is due.
Thanks for the fact check. I was wrong. Go Bucks, continue to win!

There's no doubt in my mind Michigan has a greater history. One of CFBs best programs. With that said, I'll take Ohio State's future over Michigan's any day of the week. We aren't there yet, but we will be, no doubt about it.

OSU returns almost the entire defense, Miller will have a year under his belt, we have great running backs and the receivers are all going to be improved as well. This OSU team is very young and will be a force for the next 2-3 seasons.

I agree with you though that we will probably not see another 2,926 day winless streak by either team.
I don't see any long streak either, but I think back to 2003, where Michigan won by 14, and leading up to 2004, where UM was rolling and OSU was struggling, and it looked like Michigan (with Henne/Hart/etc) would be in control for awhile. And we know what happened since then. So that stuff is hard to predict.

As for next year, I don't know if OSU returning their entire defense is a good thing. I feel good about our D-line, but linebackers and d-backs are shaky. Michigan should be solid next year. Although they did benefit from a very generous B1G schedule this year: no Wisconsin, no Penn State, finish the year with consecutive home games against Nebraska/OSU. But whatever.

That's fine. I'm perfectly happy with where Hoke and Mattison will take Michigan. Here's to many years of battles ahead!
