There was a flag on the play at least according to ESPN's graphic at the bottom of the screen.

Why don't they make the goal posts 15 feet higher?
I think they are already 3 times as high over the crossbar as they were originally. Could they keep them square and plumb with 15 more feet? This would have been interesting if they were higher. Looked like the centerline of the ball was slightly inside the centerline of the upright, but was it enough to be able to deflect over the crossbar? I don't think so!

Ok State db clearly kicked the ball carrier in the end zone after the play was over.

no way oregon makes up the .344 difference with usc, osu, and whichever awful team comes out of the south division

It will not be Alabama and LSU. Wom't happen. You don't win your league, then you don't go. Coaches and writers will override computers. Plus, there's a good chance LSU loses before the season ends.

How about a BCS NC game of Ga. vs. Ok. St.?

False. Oklahoma lost the Big 12 Championship in 2003 and still went to lose to #2 LSU in the Nokia Sugar Bowl.

I agree that this is the way it should be, but alas, it's not.

i hate rematches in general in bowl games let alone in the national championship game. i also hate that alabama's loss to lsu is somehow considered better than oregon's loss to lsu

Yeah I'm not sure how Alabama's loss could ever be considered "good." They lost at home!

How would you say Oregon's loss is better than Alabama's? They were dominated.

how is alabama missing four field goals at home any different than a true freshmen fumbling on consecutive possessions and thus leading to two tds? they both gift-wrapped wins for lsu

It will not happen...period. The Oklahoma debacle is the reason that it won't happen. The coaches over rode a one loss Michigan team and stuck in a 2 loss LSU team in 2006/07.

That explains why the Oklahoma 2003 deal happened 2 years after they did the same thing for Nebraska?? I guess the third time people are smarter?

Yes...they are smarter now. I posted this above...no Michigan- Ohio State rematch. Especially....a rematch in the same division of the same conference...the coaches and writers won't let it happen.

It wasn't a "better loss", but Oregon wasn't dominated at all. They killed themselves with turnovers.

The 1st half of the game was very equal, and Oregon actually outgained LSU overall. If DeAnthony Thomas holds on to the ball in the 3rd quarter it's a totally different game.
