AT&T U-verse Live TV. It's a monthly fee tho and, even tho the app is active, Columbus AT&T says it won't be functional until 2012 sometime. It's a free app tho and right you can control your DVR with it when you're away from home so you can set shows to tape, etc which is pretty handy.

Like if I'm too tired to lift my head up and look at the tv? :)

If you're tv is 10".

Also, you usually need a Wifi connection, which with 3G tablets kind of defeats the purpose.

Thats really nice, but dumb that its a monthly fee even for customers. Ill probably download it and check it out, but I dont know if I can justify paying a fee since I get HBO Go for free anyway.

Not really. My 15" laptop on my lap looks larger than my 42" plasma on the wall only 8' away.

You obviously have a lot of experience in talking smaller things up.

"It's like you're sitting in front of your tv" supported the prior sentences about managing your DVR. Also, if an iPad has 3G it also has wi-fi; which is standard. As Justin pointed out, my iPad on my lap is equivalent to a larger tv on the wall. It's the same principle as headphones being IN your ears. The main point you missed is that I have portable access to my home cable tv. Sounds like you're just mad you don't have an iPad.

Agreed. The extra fee is ridiculous when I already pay a boatload in cable fees. The remote DVR managing is free tho and fully functional right now. That alone is worth grabbing the app.
