For first place in the Big East...any of you Bearcaters planning on making the trip to Jersey for this one?

Rutgers is listed as 5th place in the Big East. They'd need Pitt, WVU, and Louisville to all lose to take over 1st place.

I mean if we win, we'll just be tied w/ all those teams...still first place though.

If this were the last game of the year, then yeah it woudln't be for first place, as we would need those teams (louisville and WVU) to lose because of tiebreakers.

this has been a pretty good year for Rutgers--before the season started, where were they predicted to finish?

Which team controls its own destiny? Or should we ask Footwedge?

Yahoo has Rutgers behind all the other 3-2 teams.

Not sure how tiebreakers work when you've got 4 teams tied for 2nd.

I need Rutgers to win this game and Louisville to lose one more game. If that happens and WVU wins out they win the Big East. It's nice that they control their own destiny. :)

Well we wouldn't be behind Pitt since we beat Pitt...but we would be behind Louisville and WVU since we lost the head-to-head

There are only 2-3 of us Bearcat fans on this board. Unfortunately I am not able to make the trip to Piscataway this year but I will be watching from home.

Collaros is gone but I do have faith in our backup, Munchie Legeaux. I think he is able to do a few things with this offense that Zach was unable to do due to some physcial limitations (arm strength, ability to see over the line). I expect the vertical game to be much more effective now with the 6'5 QB.

All this being said, UC has beaten Rutgers five straight times. The last two times were blow outs (47-15 and 69-38). I suspect the Scarlet Knights will be out for blood in this one. It will be tough for UC's young QB to start his first full game on the road. It should be a good one.

Game will 12pm on ESPNU.

^^ Yep, New Orleans.

His given name is Benton, but his parents called him Munchie as a kid.

Call me crazy but I think Munchie is going to announce himself to the world next week. In 09 Zach had a big game in his first start against the Ville. I think Munchie will too. He's got great size, strength, and agility. Could be a real X-factor that Rutgers isn't ready for.

UC wins by at least 2 scores.
