We used to do that.

This time in the cycle is rough and frustrating but every program goes through it.....we will bounce back from this!

Says a lot that we've only had 6 losing seasons since 1960. That's 50+ years of football. Or an average of 1 losing season roughly every 9 years. Ask every other team in the county if they'd take 1-2 losing seasons per decade and see what they'd say.
And this year is far from a losing season, lot of football left to be played.
You made my day Greatwhite!!! It really is good to hear an honest opinion of our program from someone that seems to GET IT! We are struggling and I am the first to tell ya that I am frustrated with the losses. I am the one that said we belong in the WCAL...I still don't think we belong in the OCC...but...thanks for the positive comments!Greatwhite;1274396 wrote:Good to see some of you making some sense now. Earlier when I was reading the posts, I couldn't believe my eyes. Saying things like we can't compete in the OCC, and can't even compete in the WCAL. Man, I know this year has been a little rough so far, but come on man, you guys are Orrville. There are teams in our conference and all over the state that realize what you guys do and accomplish on a regular basis. We may not say it all the time or even hardly ever (lol) but I know most of the fans at West Holmes totally respect Orrville and its tradition. I would take one losing season every 9 years in a heartbeat. You know some of the things we have suffered through. So right the ship, and go kick some tail like you always do. Heck, even when Orville isn't great you are always dangerous.
Thought you guys needed an outsiders perspective. Now, I am done and shall never again say positive things about Orrville.
I knew there was something we were missing all year! When the kids run out of the locker room there is NO cowbell. That's it. Lets go back and play the last 3 games with the cowbell and see if we arent 3-1 or 4-0! You can take the talent out of Orrville but man leave the Cowbell!!!5knots;1274133 wrote:Still sucks to lose! Gonna make my wife stay home this weekend and bring that cowbell down along the sideline!!! Somethings gotta change.
Every program ? Try telling schools like coldwater that .OQB;1274116 wrote:It's just that time again in the cycle of small school football......

I hate to say this but I honestly believe this team will not win another game this year. I hope I'm wrong but I don't think I will be. Possibly clear fork but I doubt it.RedRider1;1274118 wrote:And historically, our "dips" are much shorter than schools around us.

Dude lighten up, it’s got to be work to be so negative all the time! Is there anybody out there you don’t hate?Red Rider Nation;1274583 wrote:I knew there was something we were missing all year! A couple of wins and added comp points will change all of that! GO RED RIDERS!rrfan;1276031 wrote:It sucks that we have nothing football realated to talk about and we are only in week 5.
So are you saying our kids are not as smart as kids from every other team we play. I say it is a coaching thing, the coach could teach signals . I do not think this staff is smart enough to install such a system. Great coach for life lessons, horrible for x's and o's. Every team we play knows exactly what we are going to do on offense. In the past we had superior athletes thats how we won, this year we do not . It is up to the coach to make changes and we all know he won`t do that.Old Rider;1273971 wrote:I would like to see us signal plays in as well, but you need kids with some sort of a football IQ to do that and were thin there. We did incorporate the wrist band system, but I have not seen us use it much.
Well, this team is now playing the "spoiler" role. Lets go steal a few games these next few weeks. I think we are going to find out the true character and heart of this team these next 3 weeks!
Good Luck Riders!
If you truly were being sincere, I apologizeRed Rider Nation;1275929 wrote:Sounds like you are the one that needs to lighten up. I was being serious about the cowbell. There has been something missing about the atmosphere and when 5knots wrote that it dawned on me thats what it is.
