Good. Wish is was a $2.00 tax for all you cork suckers who buy (formerly) live trees for Christmas.

This tax is silly. A "Christmas Tree Promotion Board?" Unreal. However, it would seem that Christians wanting to promote a cultural tradition associated with a Christian holiday lobbied for the tax no? It would be similar to a Menora Promotion Board asking for a tax on Menora's wouldn't it?

When there is a Menora Candle Promotion Board (that was lobbied for) that we have to pay for then maybe you can complain if there is a tax. Until then quit whining unless you're doing so about the fact that a Christmas Tree Promotion Board exists.

I don't care if these "Boards" exist or not. It is NOT the federal government's responsiblity to collect their fucking money for them. Dammit, man....this is how we got into the fucking pickle our country is in and you want to parse words to win some debate point? I don't care if the tax was 1 red fucking cent...it's the principle of the government overstepping their bounds to get into the private sector one more fucking damn time. If the Xmas Tree Board wants to collect money from their constituents, they should do it all by themselves.

One more point: If the government is put in charge of collecting the 15 cent fee, do you think they'll do this act for free? Won't there be a cost to all taxpayers so that government can enforce this "tax" collection? Big government is here to solve ALL of our problems, isn't it?

It's a fucking government board! The promotion board is a government entity in my understanding!

There should be no such board because without it there wouldn't be the tax.

I do not get the correlation between a Tree a Christianity. If you go to the bible for relevance, It appears as though you should sacrifice your son or lamb. Sacrificing a tree seems silly.

As far as the tax is concerned, it is not unlike the tax on alchohol or tobacco. People just gots to have it.

They've certainly failed in some areas. Some that you think they've failed in I would disagree with. But I've said I'm not pleased with the administration for a bunch of reasons over in the politics forum. Just because I don't believe/agree with every evil communist story that comes out doesn't mean I think he's doing a great job.
