I haven't joined any side yet. I've not made any kind of commitments yet lol. I do have Lydia following me around, though I've left her to dry in a few tight spots, especially against a Giant when she went flying about 300 feet into the sky. I never did see where she landed LOL.

She reappeared about 20 minutes later.

How many dragons have you guys come across? I've killed the one in Whiterun and then I killed another while exploring. That battle was pretty fucking epic though.

That's pretty awesome. Reminds me of the groups that would try to hunt me down in Fallout 3. I did the golden claw mission last night and found the puzzles pretty irritating. I didn't find any clues on how to set up the whale, snake, or eagle puzzle. The final puzzle door took me a while to figure out to look at the claw for the clue there.

Ha, I havent found any giants yet but I've also been told to keep an eye out for Mammoths. I've only killed one dragon so far but it was pretty sweet fight. I at first was trying to hit it with a bow and arrow but found that to be futile. I ended up waiting for it to land then ran around it and hacked at it with my sword. How many dragons are there in the game?

Dragons are unlimited, I do believe.

I ran across a group of Giants with a Mammoth yesterday. I'm not sure if they were fighting or not, but then a couple of hunters started shooting at the Giants with their bows and got completely owned. I stayed back and watched it unfold.

Dragons are way to easy in this game. I don't even have to hide, I just stand back and firebolt them to death. They just fly around like tards. The crazy bitch protecting her books in the mages quests is the hardest thing I have fought so far, oh yeah and that damn ice troll at the top of the 7000 steps.

Randomly ran across a dragon last night, epic long battle ensued. Had to hide behind a stone pillar while he breathed frost at me, wait for him to finally land (arrows up in the mountain = useless) and charge at him. Took over 10 min to finally put the beast down.

I had a companion (the one assigned to you when you take down your first dragon) but now I have no idea where she went. Can they die or are they immortal like in Fallout? I've seen her get knocked down etc.... but always gets back up. Wondering because I gave her some of my best/most expensive items because they were heavy.

Also, where are you guys storing everything? I don't have a house, so I have been using a barrel in my room in the mages guild. Not sure how long that will hold out.

I had to just run from him. His health regenerating along with my companion being MIA made him too tough for me.

I assume she respawns at dragonsreach, not sure though. If she died you should have found her body and took your stuff back. I took her on a quest and she didn't last too long. I usually conjure a flame antioch and that is as good or better than having her around.

I have the same issue, I've just been handing my stuff to my companion as it seems she can hold any amount of weight. I've been gold mining for enough to buy a house so I dont have to worry about it anymore.

So i've been reading. Looks like if the housecarl dies, they are dead for good. Also the storage in winterhold mage room is not a safe place...

Well fuck. That sucks. Should have given her healing potions I suppose. Did you find a safe place besides the property that you can buy?

Aparently companions (My dead housecarl) are the only safe locations other than owned houses.

I would check and see if yours is back at dragons reach if you aren't sure if she died, because she might have just wandered off. I read about a glitch where she would just start crawling after a fight and wouldn't stop.

Yeah I'll hopefully check tonight. I have a lot of work to do so it may be a long day.

In Oblivion sword and board was the way to go, but I've been reading that two handed weapons are vastly improved in Skyrim. I will also have to check those out tonight as well.

**Edited with correct video

Posting from my phone, but here's an exploit to get the house in Whiterun for free.

It's incredibly easy as well:

Also, Lydia (the companion from Whiterun) was absolutely destroyed by a Giant in my game. She flew a few hundred feet in the air and I lost her. However, she did reappear.

Oh, and there is another companion you can get in Whiterun as well. She's sitting in a booth at the pub and when you talk to her she basically asks you to fight. After you KO her she joins you.

I'm rolling with two handed weapons and I'm loving it. The war hammer is GOAT (so far).

Worked for me this morning.

Did you exit out of the conversation as soon as you selected to purchase?
