UM's defense is looking much better this season. Still have some holes, but they are far and away better than the previous few seasons.

They are still giving up third and long more than they should, but that is just due to the lack of talent/experience in the secondary. He's the best hire they made by far.
I'm still not sure they can stop guys like Martinez and Miller though.

I didn't get to watch the game yesterday and stats don't always tell an accurate story, but how did the D do against Sheelhaus? Very well, but you can't begin to compare the o-line and RBs of Neb/OSU to Illinois, that is the big difference.
