Lo Wood will never have an easier touchdown in his life.
Great game all around for the Irish so far.

If the gold color on ND's pants and jersey matched the helmets, they would have one of the best alt uni's in college football.

Lotz-LOL
45-21 win for the Irish.
SHOULD be 8-3 after the BC game next week. Then......@ Stanford.

Good looking win. This team is really starting to come together and developing some confidence and swagger. It's slowly building that attitude BK is looking for.

After tonight I'm really feeling good about that Stanford game. Oregon really exposed them. Maybe just maybe be able to sneak into a bcs bowl

Great win tonight. I hope ND beats the living shit out of BC next week. And then have a ton of confidence going into the Stanford game.

If Stanford thought it had trouble stopping McNeil/Woods or Thomas/James, wait till it sees Gray/Wood/Floyd/Eifert

excellent win for the Irish last night, and their running game looked very good, but comparing Thomas/James to Gray/Wood? hmmmmathlete37;970389 wrote:If Stanford thought it had trouble stopping McNeil/Woods or Thomas/James, wait till it sees Gray/Wood/Floyd/Eifert

Agreed the rb's probably aren't comparable, but he was throwing the combo of Floyd and Eifert along with Wood and Gray. When ND is "on", they have a very tough set of skilled players to defend. Eifert has quietly become one of the better TE's in the country.
Maryland wasn't a tough opponent, but in the past games like this are one's that ND always played down to and even found a way to lose way too often. It's nice to see them play with confidence and bury the inferior opponents (Purdue, Air Force, Navy, and Maryland). It's a huge step in the right direction. Instilling a winning confidence has been BK's biggest hurdle with this team and you can tell it is building.

good post, and you're right---BK has these kids believing they should, and can, win these games, and Floyd will definitely be the X factor in their game against Stanford...btw, is that game in SB?Hamp89;970514 wrote:Agreed the rb's probably aren't comparable, but he was throwing the combo of Floyd and Eifert along with Wood and Gray. With the win, ND breaks in at #25 in the coaches poll this week and #24 in AP.

Gray and Wood will both be playing in the NFL, in my opinion. They are one of the best RB duos in the country.vball10set;970452 wrote:excellent win for the Irish last night, and their running game looked very good, but comparing Thomas/James to Gray/Wood? hmmmm

Wood- 907 yards at 5.6 yards per carry and 9 TD's. Gray- 730 yards at 7.1 ypc and 11 TD's. Both should be top 3-4 round draft picks and if you're trying to stop both at a change of pace it's going to be tough. I watched the game with a recent OSU lineman who said if Tressel was coaching ND they'd win the National Championship this year.... Yes I compared them to Oregon...
