Playing Devils Advocate...NO ONE expected Clearfork to hang 33 and a goose egg on Orrville last year....be careful looking past the weak WCAL....

There has been some solid points and posts. Orrville definately does have tradition that most anyone would appreciate. Tradition has to begin somewhere....amirite? Massillon has tradition...22 paper titles....top 3 wins total in the NATION(?)....but have Never grabbed that ELUSIVE OHSAA TROPHY. Yes Orrville has! Yet Massillon isnt even in the playoffs.

I really am mixed on this game and the athletes playing. I have always been impressed when watching Orrville play. If this is any indication of my respect of Orrville AND my observation of Norwayne.....After seeing Norwayne play....I described them as looking VERY much like the Orrville Team from last years Fianl Four Team, and that was in week 6.

Why all the hatred toward Norwayne?.....is it because of one video?.....After the Norwayne Hillsdale game I seen all the fans line the exit of the field waiting for the Bobcats....when Hillsdale came through everybody cheered for them and told them good game.

I'm not sure why Norwayne is hated so much......we have been the "whooping post" for so many years but now we are playing good football and we have become "cocky"????..... One player making an azz out of himself should not destroy the whole teams rep....

These are good kids that come from good parents just trying to win football games....

Everybody has been asking "where are all the Norwayne posters??"...we are here......we support our team and OUR "TRADITION"..it may not be the same "tradition" as Orrville has but we have it..........

Two good football teams going head to head with only one thing on their minds..........STATE CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!

They beat Waynedale in week 6 for pete sakes! Smithville routed the same team in week 5 and Hillsdale did the same to the Bears in week 7...guess they looked VERY much like the 2010 Riders as well. Gimme a break!

I was just trying to get the spelling/grammar correction in before someone else did. There are some brutal posters around here.

I don't have hatred for Norwayne, I think they are a great team, and I am a huge WCAL guy. But honestly I don't think the Bobcats have what it takes to win this game. I don't believe Orrville will allow themselves to lose to a county school. Whether it is the tradition, the pride, or whatever, I don't see it happening. One thing I do know about Orrville kids (and I am from Wooster before anyone gets the wrong impression) is that those kids live for moments like this from the time they are young. This is serious business to them. And to be fair, it is serious to the Norwayne kids as well. Norwayne is just starting down the path of being a consistent year in and year out play off team, Orrville isn't.

I met Squirrel last year (thank you 5K) Squirrel was a man pretty far north of 75 years old, he at the time was the oldest living Red Rider to have played in the Wooster v. Orrville rivalry game. I can tell you this from my brief conversation with him, the intensity in his eyes when he spoke of the game he lost his senior season to Wooster, still pissed him off. That is an intangible that I believe puts Orrville out in front in this game.

All that being said, I did finish in last place in the OCC Pick 'Em contest again this year, so please take any prediction I make with a shaker of salt.

When you look at the points orrville has put up the last two games after the QB change you have to agree it has changed the way any team would prepare to play Orrville from back at week 8.
