Wanted to come up with a top 5 list of the best/memorable plays for OSU (on offense) in the past decade. My very, very quick top 5 (and I am sure I am missing some big ones) ...

1. Holy Buckeye
2. Troy Smith to Robiskie vs. Penn State in '06 -- sealed the Heisman
3. Beanie TD vs. Michigan in '06
4. Troy Smith to Gonzo at Michigan in '05
5. Mo Hall TD at Illinois in '02 to save undefeated season
(Note: I want to include something from the NCG vs. Miami, but no one play sticks out)

Honorable Mention

Braxton Miller TD to Devin Smith vs. Wisconsin in '11
Clarett TD vs. Michigan in '02
Beanie TD at Michigan in '07
Ginn kick return vs. Michigan in '05
Smith to Ginn at Texas in '06
Gonzo TD at Iowa in '06
Pryor game winning TD run at Wisconsin in '08
Pryor to Posey in last year's Sugar Bowl
Ginn kick return vs. Florida
Beanie TD run vs LSU

How about Cie Grant pressuring Dorsey to throw it into the ground and end the game? Clarett tracking down a pick by Sean Taylor and causing and recovering a fumble? Will Allen destroying McGahee's knee? PI in the endzone?

I'd say Clarett chasing down Sean Taylor and literally ripping the ball out of his arms should be top 5 since it was the offense on the field. Unbelievable play that doesn't get near the recognition it should IMO.

I was in Iowa City in a bar full of yellow when Gonzo housed that. It was GLORIOUS.

The Beanie TD against UM is my #1. I was in the South stands and he was coming at us...f'n amazing.

Solid list, but 3 of these happened more than a decade ago.

I'd put that play at #2 behind Holy Buckeye. Just incredible.

Holy Buckeye might be the best offensive play in football history.

In no particular order:

Troy Smith sacked by Derrick Harvey at the OSU 23 for a loss of 6 yards.
Troy Smith pass intercepted by Reggie Lewis at the Fla 28, returned for 1 yard to the Fla 29.
Troy Smith sacked by Derrick Harvey at the OSU 37 for a loss of 10 yards.
Chris Wells rush for no gain to the OSU 29. (4th and 1)
Troy Smith sacked by Derrick Harvey, fumbled at the OSU 5, recovered by Derrick Harvey at the OSU 5, tackled by Derrick Harvey.

Derrick Harvey is one hell of a player. How does Tebow get all the love when Harvey is obviously 3 players in one? Do you suck them both off at the same time, or do you alternate days with them?

Holy Buckeye definitely has to be #1, but I also agree with #2:

I'll nominate the following as well. Just ridiculous speed.

Holy buckeye was lame?

The Mo Hall td was great for me because of how bad the cooper years were against michigan. That was two wins in a row. Something I'd never experienced before. Plus I don't think anyone expected Krenzel to run the ball there or to pitch it to Hall.

How about Krenzel's touchdown to Jenkins(?) on a 4th and long in 02 to save the undefeated season.

The problem with picking a school like OSU is that there are "once in a decade" plays made every week. I think it'd be tough to come up with 5 plays total in the history of some other schools, like Notre Dame, that would even make the top 100 @ OSU.

I haven't seen anyone mention 4th and 14 in the 2003 Fiesta Bowl (Krenzel to Jenkins in ot)

1. Holy buckeye
2. 4th and 14
3. Smith to Gonzo '05 Michigan game
4. Smith to Robiskie '06 PSU game
5a. Beanie TD vs. Michigan '06
5b. Pittman TD vs. Michigan '06

Based on the way Harvey made Smith his bitch in that game, I'd say I'm not really his type.

LOL at you trying to click the links. All I did was copy and paste, bro.

Good one dwccrew, that was a HUGE play that doesn't get as much discussion as it should. Good call.
