Haha, literally just gave them to you and I hadn't even seen this. Meant to put "when I get home" earlier since I was at the OSU game when I posted that.

But as for LSU-Alabama, I see it as somewhat like Ohio State-Wisconsin in that Alabama's main rival is Auburn, but LSU has been better as of late(minus last year obvi) so it's become a big game for each team, just like UM will forever be Ohio State's main rival, but the Wisconsin rivalry has really been building lately.

Its either Tulane or Ole Miss.

I believe that LSU's biggest rival is Arkansas. That's who they end their season against every year.

One met expectations, one failed miserably. You figure out the rest.

Bama and LSU are both much better teams than OSU and Michigan were.

And your point?

Doesn't mean that the game wasn't more exciting. This is coming from a guy that doesn't give a damn about Ohio State, Michigan, Alabama, or Louisiana State. Tonight's game was a snoozefest compared to the 2006 "Game of the Century".

That very well may be true, but I'll wait til the end of the year to decide that. Also, this game sucked compared to OSU/Michigan.

Ohio State lost their Bowl game by 27 that year and Michigan lost their Bowl game by 14. Neither game was exciting or close. So while we don't know if this one stacks up, I'd be willing to make a very, very sizable bet that both LSU and Alabama don't lose 3 games combined or each lose an upcoming game by double digits.

And that has what exactly to do with which one of these 2 games was a better game?

The initial thread question as "hype."

To me, that doesn't imply the game being "better."

Hype is a subjective word which is usually measured PRIOR to the game. All of these arguments are after the game is complete.

I guess I'm not arguing. I agree that 1. OSU/UM was more exciting, as a game and 2. ALA/LSU are better overall teams than OSU/UM.

And if we're talking "most exciting", you could argue the Toledo/Northern Illinois game on Tuesday is quite possibly the most exciting game in a long time...
