Kind of hard to move up from a "cook" position at Applebee'sI Wear Pants;957271 wrote:Must not be all too high up. The executives and important people are allowed to have facial hair.
Oh sure. I'm "allowed" to have facial hair, just like they are "allowed" to hand me a pink slip. People that grow facial hair don't respect their jobs and their customers; and that's not a risk I'm willing to take.I Wear Pants;957271 wrote:Must not be all too high up. I wish I still had my beard, but unfortunately because of work, I also have to shave. I am allowed to grow a "stache" though, so for Movember I will do this. Otherwise, I am not a fan of the "stache". Full beard is what I like to sport. Stupid work.Laley23;957262 wrote:I wish I could, part for the cause, but mostly cause I hate to shave. LMAO steve jobs never wore a suit. I guess he didn't respect his customers. Also what if you are a federal employee? LOL at your facial hair theory though, especially mustaches. I have seen plenty of successful people with mustaches.sleeper;957477 wrote:Oh sure. I'm "allowed" to have facial hair, just like they are "allowed" to hand me a pink slip. Look at Warren Buffet, Steve Jobs(RIP), Bill Gates, Jerry Yang, etc.. Do they grow facial hair? No. You know someone that does? Michael Moore. I'll take the former over the latter.

The primary customers of Steve Jobs never wore a suit and never held a real job. He was trying to look like an unemployed hippy and was successful at attracting that customer base.like_that;957557 wrote: LMAO steve jobs never wore a suit. I guess he didn't respect his customers. So why did you even mention him then? Also, as justin pointed out, he has facial hair. What is your explanation there? What is your explanantion for the third richest man having facial hair?sleeper;957581 wrote:The primary customers of Steve Jobs never wore a suit and never held a real job. I believe he and I were the only two to participate last year. Maybe one other.Ow! My Balls!;957434 wrote:Surprised Justin didn't start an OC team for this again this year.
Most of these men grew facial hair after they were already successful. It'd be an interesting study to see what America would look like if these men had decided to let hair grow on their face in their earlier careers.like_that;957595 wrote:So why did you even mention him then? Can you imagine the world without Steve Jobs? I can. It'd be a place where people saved their money and had something to talk about other than how cool their expensive and low quality gadgets are.
