Actually we have played a few pretty good spread teams this year. Versailles (8-2 DV) We beat them 31-7 and Coldwater (7-3 DV) who we lost to 17-14. I played under Schulte and had him as a teacher in one of my classes back in his earlier days. Great guy, rarely does he ever raise his voice, I personally have never seen him scream at a kid. The shots people took at him after the Shadyside game last year were unfair to him in my opinion.

Thanks.

I never even hinted at holding a grudge against anyone. Perhaps you are reading too much into this. I only hope that BCWR wins it to prove some people wrong and show pride for the Mahoning Valley. Like I said, I have no vested interest in any of the teams in D-6. It isn't like I posted on here saying I hope some kid gets hurt or something. Good luck to the Blue Devils the rest of the way.

Good win for the Blue Devils last night. I thought Malvern would win that one, especially after they jumped out to that 14-0 lead.

I agree. There was not much DSJ could do to avoid running up the score. It wouldve been a bigger insult to just take knees the begining of the 4th quarter. Good luck against Leipsic

To expound a little bit on the DSJ defense in response to the question if they can defend against the pass.

Now 9-3 DV Coldwater team did beat them 17-14, but DSJ out played CW pretty much the entire game except for the first, and last drives of the game. The difference was an early TO by DSJ and CW had to kick a 48 yard FG.
CW has run a complex spread offense for quite a long time now and DSJ always matches up very well against CW.

3 MAC teams remain in the DVI playoffs and at least one will fall this weekend.

Good luck to my Beallsville Blue Devils tonight. Hopefully a rematch for a state final birth with Shadyside.

With that said, all roads will eventually lead to a beat down from DSJ or MSML

They been flying under the radar, but Buckeye Central is better this year then a lot of people know. Nice mix of power run and a little pass on offense. Its been the D, they are stout!

Yea, I've looked at some highlights on youtube. I think they will win. QB seems like their best player, and a pretty good one at that. Seems their competition for the most part just isnt very good, though. But neither is Beallsville's.

Don't count out Minster. They have been playing really well lately. Put a nice little beating on Coldwater in week 10 and haven't looked back since. Leipsic also has about 6-7 starters that have been starters since they were sophomores.

DSJ up on Leipsic 7-6 at the half... Jays pretty lucky to be ahead. Stopped Leipsic on downs twice inside their own 10, and Leipsic missed their XP

point out the trash talk. I actually said don't overlook Leipsic because they have 6 or 7 guys who are 3 year starters.... lol

Welp, looks like it's going to be; Western Reserve, Buckeye Central, Marion Local, and DSJ. All games but the DSJ/Leipsic game were blowouts.

DSJ vs Marion Local in the playoffs. Almost always a nail-biter

Wish I could make it to Wapak, but got to go support Norwayne. I was at the week nine meeting of these two teams and saw a great game. I think it's always is difficult to beat a team twice.

Good Luck to the Jays!

Some really exciting games this week. I feel like the best 4 teams have made it this far. I'm really curious to see how WR and Buckeye Central do against each other... neither team has really been tested by their opponents so far. Then there is the DSJ/ML rematch... one of the biggest and best rivalries in Ohio high school football.

Go Jays!!!

Marion will beat Delphos St Johns. They are playing on another level right now offensively and defensively. Their passing attack has really come on.

People keep talking about ML's passing attack (seen it on other forums too). You do realize that DSJ threw for more yards than ML last week, right (Over 200 yds on 10-11 passing if I remember right) ? Also, I have been really impressed with Densel and Cavledge this entire season in the DSJ secondary... DSJ beat ML earlier in the season on a little bit more than just luck. Should be a great game, and I actually agree I think ML is the favorite... they seem to be clicking.

I think both these games will be outstanding

DSJ vs Marion-local what more do you need to say

Two virtual unknowns in BC and WR
Both playing at the top of their games seemingly both untested

GO BC!
GO ROYALS!

The lowly little NCC didn't show too bad this year!

When a MAC school has played in 14 of the 17 D6 title games and winning 11 of them, it's hard not to pick them.

Why is that taken as arrogance or disrespect? It's just going with the odds.

I believe Marion is on a roll and will win it all.

I'm not disrespecting anyone.

When stated like that, it doesn't sound like arrogance at all to me. Some other people have made statements like "good for them o a nice season, they will get killed if they get to the title game. " That is pure arrogance and disrespect.
