Anyone watch the Ed's -Iggy game? It's sad when I watched this game and said to myself "A decade ago we could play with and beat these programs. Now we don't belong on the same field."

According to the link WGH Fan sent me, they were accepting applications until Friday the 11th. Any word on if anyone applied?

ghosthunter you sound like a drama person.a few seasons ago we were a dropped pass from beating ignatius.year in and year out you cant compare a small town D1 public school to big city catholic schools.strongsville who had a win or two against the mcd harding teams went 1-9 this year.

Drama? Far from it. I don't view things through "rose colored glasses"; more of a "black/white; did/didn't" view. Fact of the matter is that the program from the middle school level up, is in a shambles, and it's going to take some time to turn it around. While I'll agree with you that it's hard to compare WGH to Iggy/Ed's numbers wise, and that it is probably harder for public's than it is for a parochial program to be consistently "good", the point that I was making is how far we have fallen. Watching those 2 teams and their execution and how disciplined and well coached they were was what I found shocking.

Word around here, is that Mark Asher resigned at Struthers to go after the WGH job...

If he did, he didn't make the cut according to the link above. Having a coach in place less than 2 weeks from today would leave me to believe there will be only one set of interviews.

I didn't check the link.

I don't think he would have been a good fit anyway.

I would imagine with the upcoming holiday week, we'll know very soon who the guy is.
