Urban mentioned talking with Fickell and Fickell told him LB depth would be needed.

We got Roberts and Perry also is Rod Smith a LB or RB? We only need maybe 1 more LB in IMO because 2013 is loaded. OL and DL are my biggest concerns. There are only 5 to 6 spots left in this class. I hope 4 or 5 are used on the lines and the others saved for immediate impact guys.

Joe Bolden from Colerain? Did he decommit from Michigan?

The way the got blown off the ball against one of the best lines in the country in Wisconsin? SMH The d-line was a strength this year.

Does anyone actually expect Jalin Marshall to play QB in college? Most of what I have seen on video and read about him compares him to a Percy Harvin/Tedd Ginn like athlete.

I don't think so. He is listed at a 5* RB on Scout. I think your assesment is correct.

Last I read on Twitter last night, is Dunn wasn't in a hurry to make a decision.

The way we got blown off the ball against Miami, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Penn State, and Michigan. If the d-line was a strength, I would hate to describe the rest of the team.

You can't be serious right now. Sure the defensive line didn't have the greatest performance against Michigan, Nebraska, and debatable about Miami (I didn't see the Penn State game and the line played GREAT against Wisconsin), but without question the best part of the team this season is our DL group. Good lord.

^^^it was the strength of our defense, it's just that we had no depth, therefore the players got tired--and it showed, especially late in the game

Did you watch the games? They actually played their best defensive game of the year against Wisconsin, but look at these performances:

Miami - 240 yards rushing
Nebraska - 232 yards rushing
Penn State - 239 yards rushing
Michigan - 277 yards rushing

Sure, maybe that is acceptable to you, and maybe the d-line was the best part of the team. That doesn't say much for the rest of the team though.

We have depth to an extent, but we were playing 4 DTs on the line most of the time with Bellemy,Simon,Hankins, Hale and Bennett. We didn't have a true rush DE all year. Needless to say our DTs held up well at the point of attack, but our linebackers and Tyler Moeller didn't make enough plays and let drives get extended. Again I think the majority of cour problems come from Moeller playing like shit. We usually get huge production from that position and we didn't this year. We would have been better off playing a 4-3.

I think Sabino will be moved to rush DE next year. Shazier and Grant will be our primary linebackers. Who knows what the rest will look like.

? What are you arguing? I said they played the best against Wisconsin. And as for the other games you cited, they didn't play that bad even tho the numbers don't look all that great. The DL has been by far the best part of this team all season and it is certainly one of the deepest with

Starters:
DT Bellamy (So)
DE Simon (Jr)
NT Goebel (Jr)
DT Hankins (So)

Reserves:
DT Bennett (Fr)
DE Moore (Fr)
DE Thomas (Sr)
DE Williams (likely to receive a med-RS)
NT Hale (Fr)
DT Baldwin (Fr)

How much more depth do you need/want?

It was tackling by linebackers and our secondary that led to those numbers. A defensive lines job is to keep the lineman off the 'backers, unfortunately our linebacking corp wasn't good this year and missed alot of tackles, along w/ our secondary(Moeller was outright terrible this year). Bellamy, Simon, and Hankins were good this year, and the freshman Bennett and Hale played pretty well to. Anyone could see that the LB corp was the main culprit of the bad run defense in those game.

Dunn: "Coach Meyer said he's going to stop by my school and see me soon. I had a few questions I wanted to ask him, but I got nervous."

Dunn: "He said he's never had the bigger backs like he has at Ohio State, but he's always wanted these types of backs."

Dunn: "I will definitely look forward to talking to (Coach Meyer) face to face."

Dunn: "It was a great conversation, and I feel good about things."

A rumor saying Tommy Schutt would like to talk to Urban about OSU. He is a current PSU commit, so there are definitely reasons for him to pursue other options. He once had OSU high on his list, but that was during the Tressel era. Would be an outstanding get on the DL.

Hear, hear.

And again... I said early on that this was the worst LB corp that OSU has had in quite some time, and I was lambasted for it.
