I think the problem is that....teams can leave too many in the box because we have no vertical passing game.

Fans of all Cleveland teams are like that, but especially the Browns. Jerome Harrison was the running back of the future for awhile back in 2009 because he put up good numbers in about 3 completely meaningless games. Now people are clearing off of the Hillis and McCoy bandwagons in double time.

Very athletic is an interesting choice of words to describe Chris Gocong, unless he was comparing him to average citizens and not NFL linebackers.

maybe, I just did not see the openings there. like I said...I am in the minority I guess.

Exactly...if Hillis has had 3 straight poor seasons...1 year wonder would fit. But the guy hasn't even played much, and fans want to get rid of him? It just makes it even worse when u have that mentality while defending Hardesty.

^^^^ding ding ding. Hillis is hardly the problem with this team this year..... He hasn't played! You can't say he really sucks when he hasn't been on the field. You can't say he is a one hit wonder when he hasn't even played the second season. There are a lot of problems with this offense and peyton Hillis is not one of them, unless you want to count he fact that he hasn't been healthy and on the field.

Gocong played an outstanding game against Seattle.

Glad I don't have Maurice Jones-Drew in fantasy football. That guy SUCKS! No vision, etc. Only 105 yards on 30 carries last night.

Haha seriously? You're so butthurt that someone doesn't like Hardesty that you're gonna make that idiotic comment? Big difference between 3.5 YPC and 2.8. Another BIG difference in Baltimore's defense and Seattle's defense.

And you should be glad you didn't have MJD last night..he had like 6 fantasy points

To compare an all pro running back to Montario Hardesty to try to make a point is either completely idiotic, completely desperate, or maybe just a little bit of both.

I must have some reason and logic in me because I'm not actually from Cleveland or even the bordering counties.

Why do people make just quick judgments on these players when they've only seen the field a handful of times, and they're playing with a line that has shown itself to be very poor and inconsistent on about every other play (on average)?

Sometimes, I think the constant losing has killed the brain cells of too many fans -- or maybe it's just all the alcohol they drink to try and cope with losing.

In any case, impatience like this is what gets you into a cycle of continuing to lose...and more anger and impatience just keeps you there.

Coming into this week, Seattle had the best run defense in the league. I'm just glad that idiot shurmur didn't abandon the run like he has in the past.

Neither of those have anything to do with my post. I implied that he isn't a great athlete. Because he isn't.

If the Browns D can stop Frank Gore and not stay on the field for almost the whole game they should be in this game. I think it will be a low score either way...I think it's a toss up and think the 49ers come away with a close win. Something like 14-10 or 17-13...along those lines. 49ers D is pretty tough too.

I'd agree with one caveat: No turnovers or special teams gaffes (which I consider turnovers, too, but will mention here as separate).

I think these teams match up pretty well and unless Cleveland implodes somehow, this will be a close game.

Thank God I've got NFL Ticket, because the dolts at WBNS have chosen the Cincinnati-Seattle game to televise. Apparently, they think even though Cincy fans won't even sell out their own stadium, they'll all flock to Columbus to watch, and the ratings will be higher than the Browns game.

Geniuses, these folks are.

I compared Hardesty's numbers to quite a few stellar RB's earlier and all I got was "spin" and drivel from S&L. His numbers were quite comparable. This isn't a "love of Hardesty" thing. It's a "Seattle has a helluva run defense" which S&L refuses to acknowledge because "they're Seattle, not Baltimore."

The bottom line is that I don't think the "feature" back is on this roster but for all of the people giving me shit about Hardesty, who is coming off an injury and isn't at full speed (still quicker than Hillis), remember that when McCoy and his "can't complete a pass farther than 10 yards" ass gets picked apart.

Harbaugh has done a good job -- but let's be honest: he easily had the most talented roster of players of any new coach in the NFL. They greatly underachieved under Singletary.

The Browns will have to stop the running game if they hope to win this game. And they need to not turn the ball over.

One thing that does concern me is kick and punt returns. Ginn is the type of guy who can house it at any point in time. He was easily the fastest player I've ever seen in college football, so you know the talent is there; plus he now has a very good coach in Seeley.

I just don't see the browns winning this game, in any way shape form. I see ginn returning one, gore going off, and our offense getting nowhere. Hopefully I'm wrong, but I see the titans game all over again

The offense has shown no signs of being consistently effective all year. I can't see a reason that this week would be any different.

I hope we pwn leon and he goes catchless. Be awesome to see him pout on the sidelines. And yes Alex Smith is due for a shitty game and Gore is primed for an injury. I think the game will be closer than most think.
