More likely is we will see a bunch of stat padding garbage time plays that Shurmur will then use to try and convince everyone we are "close". Happens seemingly every week with this team.

I've not watched the Browns since the Bengals game, but wow they are painful to watch. That was an awful awful third down play. May not have the talent but gotta put them in situations to succeed.

I hate Shurmur. And Sheldon Brown.

But really, what is Shurmur doing? Terrible play calls, doesn't use Evan Moore, Terrible running plays, are not up for the games, and whatever else. Oh and that terrible challenge he just wasted. Guy is horrendous.

He may "win" this challenge because they overturn the wrong thing. He stepped out at the 47, not the 44, but I don't think that's what Shurmur challenged.

I detest Pat Shurmur in ways I haven't hated a Cleveland coach in a long time.

This guy is a bum, and every day spent with him at the helm is a day wasted on ever getting the rebuilding process started.

First quarter of the first preseason game.

His ineptitude is harder to stomach when you see what Harbaugh, also a first year coach, is able to do with a retread quarterback and team that has been mediocre forever now.

Yeah, San Fran is definitely solid. That defense is legit (this game has nothing to do with that claim because every defense is legit against the Browns). I'm not sold on Alex Smith continuing to manage games as well as he has, but if he does they are a legitimate 10-win team in any division, not just because they play in the NFC Worst.

My only real complaint with Shurmer is that there is no defending his playcalling. He isn't giving the offense a chance half of the time. But when you look at the big picture, as ugly as it's been, based on overall ability the Browns are probably 3-0 in games where they are the better team. At the end of the day, wins are the only stat that should matter for a head coach. The Browns haven't stepped up in any games where they are clearly outclassed (a la the Titans or today), but winning the games they should win is a welcome change in my opinion.
