I thought Massillon did a real good job on Pittman today, and I wouldn't mind having Pittman on MY team, but the best player on the field today was our DE Stefan Laury....And it wasn't even close.

Oops, I completely missed GlenOak jumping due to the McKinley win, looks like McKinley gets Southview.

It's just what you guys need on your schedule...another DIII school. You only beat 1 DivI team on your schedule this year.....

Does that mean you're pulling a Dover on us? Well, actually, at least they gave us one year.

I thought Amish kids were tougher than that.

How does Houst (#49) from Big Red compare to these two. I know Pittman is a big time recruit. Just wondering since you saw them all play. I am suprised by the lack of offers Houst has recieved

A short story about your Amish team.
01-4-6 #15 in your region
02-3-7 #19
03-3-7 #21
04-2-8 #24
05-5-5 #14
06-7-3 #9
07-5-5 #13
08-5-5 #12
09-2-8 #19
10-1-9 #28
11-5-5 #14

This playing a schedule without such notable powers as:

Steubenville
Mooney
Lake Catholic
St. V - St. M
Benedictine
Buchtel
St. Francis
Watterson

Massillon

01-12-2 #1 in our region. Semi finals
02-11-3 #8 Semi finals
03-4-6 #12
04-4-6 #17
05-13-2 #3 State runners-up
06-7-5 #5 playoffs
07- 6-4 #13
08-6-5 #8 playoffs
09-10-4 #3 Semi finals
10-7-4 #6 playoffs
11-7-3 #12

Not only being one of the smallest DI schools in the state, during this time, we have played:

Steubenville 3x
St. Ignatius 9x
Fitch 2x
McKinley 11x
Warren 10x
Buchtel 8x
Benedictine 2x
GlenOak 3x
St. Edward 2x
Cin. Elder 1x
Mentor 6x
Cin. Moeller 1x
Chandler Az. 1x
Middletown 1x
Solon 1x
Ursuline 2x

After this research, I realize why the "Fighting Amish" wouldn't want to schedule the Tigers. There is absolutely NO substance in your schedules, there are quality DIII schools that we would play before we have our stadium maintenance crew scoop horse crap from the parking lot and fill holes made by buggy tires.

Btw, I realized half way through this, how stupid it was for me to waste my time comparing the proud Massillon program with a program whose team can't even study film of their upcoming opponents, due to that crazy "electricity rule", but, I posted anyway.

While I wouldn't call it running, avoiding would be more accurate.
Back in the thirties, after Steubenville beat Massillon twice in a row, with the last game 68-0 being the worst beating Massillon ever took,
Massillon avoided Steubenville until after Punk Cartledge and several other winning head coaches left.
I still maintain that beating is what started Massillon on it's winning path; a thought shared by Punk's son Charlie.

Cheers!:)
