Anyone have or use it? If so, does it work well? What type of device do you use with it? (ipad/tablet)

Thinking about pulling the trigger on this. I have missed way too many football games due to weddings and other functions. Enough is enough.

The use of slingbox and other things like that helped lead to the data caps on wireless plans. A small percentage of data users were gobbling up a disproportionant amount of bandwith on carriers that they came out with the 2GB limits on most carriers, and having other carriers slow down your data speeds after reaching that plateau if they stil have the old date package on it.

but anwyays......i havent tried it. I guess I dont want to be 'that guy' that has to not miss a sporting event and have their life revolve around a sport. Yeah, i will keep in touch with txt updates on the score, but dont need the whole slingbox to always watch.

My brother that lives in AZ uses it to watch the Browns, Indians, Cavs and OSU games. He loves it. He was also lucky enough to get his for free.

Love my slingbox pro...

I use on my android phone and laptop. The app for mobile phones will cost around $30 and well worth money for mobile phone use.

I also utilize it why playing video games, watch the game on my laptop and play ncaa 12 football on flat screen.

Tiger2003 also has one.....

Great purchase

I have an original slingbox. I guess it is nothing life changing but I got it close to free so I don't feel like I am out much. Most of the time I use it to sling reds games to my work computer.

Do you know if this is $30 PER MONTH or a one-time flat fee of $30?

If it's like every other Android app in the world, it'll be a flat fee.

Okay. I don't have an Android device so I wasn't sure, but I am considering purchasing a new Android phone [or iPhone 4S].

Anyone know the price of the comparable iOS app? I'm gonna guess it's the same ($30), but was wondering if anyone could confirm.

FOr those who do it on their smartphones, how does that blow up your data usage per month?

Not sure really... I have unlimited data on sprint and watch some osu football game but mostly stream movie and download movies from here to my sprint phone: http://movietogo.tv/blog/recently-updated/

I average 4gb on 4g a month, 2gb on 3g and near 1gb 3g roaming.

Thanks for all the input.

Couple more questions.

If I want to use it on my Android phone and an iPad or my wife's iPhone, do I need to buy both apps?

What kind of devices are most people using?

I'm assuming a good wifi connection there is no lag or choppy-ness (is that a word?)

Yes, you'll have to buy android app and apple app. 3g can be pretty good, wifi and 4g are usually excellent.

I use on android phone and laptop only.

Dish Network sucks. Nobody would want Dish Network. This appears to be the only redeeming quality of Dish Network.
