No I lost that a few years after that picture was taken. Too much Magnum PI in the eighties. I don't keep facial hair for very long anymore. When I get too lazy to shave I let it go for a week or so.

I'm OK, went to Urgent Care just in case. Having some neck pain. But I'm OK and it seemed like the 2 other drivers are OK as well. I was rear ended and then another car rear ended the car that hit me.

There is another story behind the stache. When I was a senior in high school I was involved in a head on collision on a township road on Christmas. The road was snow covered and icy. I went around a sharp curve and clocked this guy head on. I was not wearing my seat belt and and my head rammed into the steering wheel. My front teeth cut completely through my upper lip cutting it almost in half. Right down the center. Except for a few bits of flesh.

The dude in the other car gets out and rails on me while I am on my hands and knees spitting blood on the road. "This is not a race track" he yelled at me while the granny in his passenger seat was rocking back and forth in pain holding her arm. I got up and ran up a long lane to the nearest house. Amish, but luckily new order and they had a phone (no cell phones back in that day). I called the authorities and walked back to the scene. They placed me on a board and strapped my head down and hauled me off in the meat wagon.

In the emergency room I could hear the granny next to me in pain. She broke her arm on the dash. The state trooper questioned us both. Then came over and told me he was citing the other driver for left of center. My first thought was whose on the race track now jerk. The dock came in to stitch me up. Stuck that needle right into the wound. I remember yelling out "shit!" and the unsympathetic dock says "you should have been wearing your seat belt".

I have a scar in the middle of my upper lip. Stache hair will not grow there. It would take quite a bushy stache to cover it. It never looked quite right divided left and right. Times changed and I shaved it off. You can only see the scar if you are within speaking distance of me. Plus the wife likes me clean shaven now. No need to put up any road blocks.
