If you're just driving around the block in circles at 200 mph, then yes.

At least the guy died doing something he loved.

Why do they run these types of cars on ovals? I thought that they were specifically designed for Road Courses.

Tis a shame. RIP Dan :(

If I was driving as fast as I could in a circle for no fucking reason, yea, it would be stupid.

Sad to see someone die, but NASCAR needs to go away. Its not a sport, and it does nothing for society other than kill people and keep rednecks unemployed.

This has nothing to do with NASCAR, he was an open wheel driver, in the IZOD series. Next,,,

NASCAR/Racing whatever. I can't believe there are people out there that support a game that kills people. How do you sleep at night?

College football is a sport, it can kill you, and most all non-alumnus fans are unemployed rednecks.

HQ replays from apparently after Dan had been airlifted. Either that or that it was after it was announced that he had passed.

I'd love to know the last time a player died during a game.

He said college football. I don't care about the weakling kid who's parents pushed him to play football.

I hope his man's family sues the crap out of racing and bankrupts the cash flow indefinitely of this worthless game.

95% of everything he types is idiotic...from bashing other colleges in the state of Ohio to bashing auto racing among others. Even better, when you prove him wrong and he still tries to cover his ass.

Just surfing away on the computer checking airline ticket prices.... show ends on TV, extra comes on TV @ 1:00 AM. Features Dan Wheldon being interviewed for the race, about the 5 mil to be shared with a fan. Really weird and sad to see. R.I.P.

Hockey should go next, way too many deaths:

As Homer Simpson stated, I'm being sarcastic.

Never cease to be amazed at the callousness of some people. Just say RIP and move on. I never followed the sport but he was too young to be taken from his family.

Even more weird was how ABC was on his in car as the crash happened. I was watching the replay thinking that guy is about to die
