Evan more mind boggling is that picture is a glimpse into the past. Depending on how many light years away these galaxies are (it did not really say in the article) we are seeing them as they existed x number of years ago.

The universe is just too big to be the only ones here.

I'll wait to see what Jesse Ventura says about it. To me, it looks photoshopped! ;)

Most likely. A lot of the universe (at least based on what they know now) is much older than we are. Of course we don't actually know very much at all, any information on space is taught as fact but it isn't really fact, a lot of it is still just theory--it could all be different in 5 years.

read something like, there are an infinite number of universes identical to us where everything that could've possibly happened has happened.....so there is a bunch of you's out there and every decision you've ever been faced with has been played out in very way possible. Everything that could've ever happened is happening in every way possible...

So somewhere out there, some version of you has banged Heidi Klum. But you got stuck typing away on freehuddle.

Indeed. I bet they don't allow former Navy SEALs out there. :D

This. I've seen the section of space this picture (or at least one very similar to it) was taken from. It's about the size of a pencil eraser.

Just watch Star Trek... or Star wars... or any of those. Some are probably right on if not far of of truths that lie out there.
