Nothing compares to Loyola Marymount - Bo Kimble, Jeff Fryer, Terrell Lowery, Per Stumer, some other guy I don't remember - and the late Hank Gathers.

They might pull a VCU this year. Seriously everyone said last year that it was a joke VCU got in and most have had the same sentiments about Iona this year. I might have to pick them over Marquette lol.

Iona - Marquette could be a good one, should Iona hold on. Two undersized teams that can both get out and play in transition.

I think the match-up hurts Iona's chances of pulling an upset, because their up-tempo style isn't anything that's going to throw Marquette off.

Just flipped over to the LSU vs Oregon NIT game and damn that court is ugly. I remember it being talked about on here but this is the first time I have ever seen it on TV.

Agreed, but some of Billy Tubbs' teams came very close, especially at Oklahoma during the Mookie Blaylock and Brent Price years. Too young to have watched, but, as a historian of game of sorts, I've seen plenty of games on tape and it wasn't out of the ordinary for those Sooner clubs to get into the 150s and 160s. In fact, the year after Gathers, Kimble and Fryer graduated (well, I guess Hank never actually graduated), Tubbs and Oklahoma beat Terrell Lowery and the Lions by a score of 172 to 112.

I believe Mark Price's brother had 50-plus in that one. He was amazing.

Mississippi State loses in double overtime to UMass in the NIT, 101-96.

Renardo Sidney scored 3 points and grabbed 3 rebounds in the loss.

Following the loss, Sidney Tweeted "I'm out."

It has been expected the Junior will pursue a "pay for play" career and will not use his final two years of eligibility.

What a sad debacle in Starkville...
