Why? because you can just look at that and say which one is best, but it may not be true. It's like saying Murray State ranked #7 in the country is better than Kansas who is #10 in the country.
I'm not gonna be on here proving that Texas has a great resume'; they're a bubble team and have the record of a bubble team (not a good one). However, other than Oregon State they have no bad losses. Something none of those 3 SEC teams can say...hell just yesterday Bama and MSU had HORRIBLE losses.
Iowa State just lost to Oklahoma State last week. They're worse than LSU. That's a HORRIBLE loss. Oklahoma is
1-9 in the B12 against teams not named Kansas State. And they swept the Wildcats. Those are bad losses.
If you want to throw out the numbers - fine. Even if you don't want to look at RPI and instead use the "eye test" or whatever other shit there is to judge teams, the fact is Iowa State has 1 great win and nothing else, to go along with 2 very bad losses (Drake and Oklahoma State).
Texas has 1 good win (and even that one isn't that impressive - Temple) and 1 really bad loss to Oregon State.
Kansas State only has 1 good win too. I would give them 2, but apparently Alabama sucks so we won't count it. And again, swept by Oklahoma.
So there goes that "no bad losses" argument. And very few good wins either.
Alabama has 2 bad losses (South Carolina and LSU). Vandy has 2 "bad" losses (Cleveland State isn't terrible but I'll count it. Indiana State is bad). Mississippi State doesn't really have any bad losses aside from Georgia. I guess maybe Ole Miss?
You still aren't selling me.
