6 wins to be bowl eligible. I ask you, is there 3 wins in the last 6 games?

I could really give a fuck about watching this team playing in a bowl game this year. I know I am spoiled by the success they have had recently but this shit is pathetic.

I refuse to watch any more Ohio State football games until Luke Fickell, Heacock and Bollman are all fired. There is no point in subjecting myself to watching this horrendous scheme and gameplan that they force the players to execute. I really feel sorry for the team. I have to believe that they are very disheartened by playing for a staff that clearly has no clue what they are doing and doesn't care about the players.

The coaching has killed this team and until the powers that be at OSU smarten up, I can't watch my boys get martyred out there every week.

I think they win the bolded ones. All of those games are winnable except Wisconsin. I simply don't trust Ron Zook, Indiana sucks and Purdue does too. The Penn State game could seriously be a 3-0 game. Michigan is insanely overrated.

I could care less if they go 1-5, I just want to beat Michigan.

Agree with basically everything you marked, Tobias. I figure Indiana and Purdue easily, and then PSU and/or Michigan (probably PSU, I'm not sold on them at all).

The only thing about a bowl game that would be very good for this team is extra practices. Remember how young this group is, and those extra few weeks of practice can make a big difference going into the next season.

As for whether OSU gets itself eligible or not...I'm on record as saying they'll be 5-7. No bowl game; no win over scUM.

I'm hoping the NCAA thinks it's really punishing OSU by giving them a bowl ban this year, because it's doubtful they'd make it to one anyway.

Besides Wisconsin, it's not too bad.

If the current staff is in place who cares about a bowl. BUT if they make a bowl and can hire a coach between the Michigan game and the bowl game, that can be huge.

Great team? You are giving them way too much credit.

+1 but they did play well. The Buckeye starting OL is among the most talented in the country, and the RB corp is deep.

There are guys on this staff that played Tressel Ball from 2001-2004, they will win some games with a better rushing attack, solid defense (young guys, they will improve week-by-week), and an athletic quarterback who will make plays with his feet.

Assuming Braxton Miller can play, and assuming offensive play calling is similar to the way it was the first half of last Saturday, I see no reason why the Buckeyes cannot win Indian, @ Purdue, and Penn State. @ Illinois is very questionable, although I do tend to believe they will pull thru. Again... assuming Miller is able to play and has no lingering injuries from last week's game against the Cornhuskers.

If the NCAA were to sanction Ohio State with a bowl ban, it wouldn't take effect until next season at the earliest.

Hear, hear. Man... if Ohio State can somehow pull of a 'W' @ Michigan, that would just be glorious! Hopefully Fickell has a couple tricks in the bag.

Michigan looks pretty darn good this season, but they don't look untouchable ala LSU and Alabama.

Forgive me, but I cannot recall where I read this [otherwise I would link it]. But basically... it boils down to any punishments/sanctions that would be levied, would not take effect until the following year. I know that doesn't provide much "support," but take it for what it's worth.

I'm not sure that's true. Dan Wetzel tweeted that the worst part of the recent OSU violations is that "this may push NCAA ruling to Dec., make bowl ban (if there's one) for 2012, hurt recruiting."

I'm fairly certain the NCAA can give OSU a bowl ban for this season, if necessary. It would be pushed back to 2012 if OSU would appeal the bowl ban and lose.

Beating Michigan is the most important goal left for this team this year as far as I'm concerned.

Even though watching OSU play in a bowl game before New Year's will be painful, these young players could certainly use the extra practice.

Yep. I tried telling the young OSU fans that it doesn't stay the same forever. :)

And I agreed with you...what goes around, comes around--and it appears it's coming around :(
