Bauserman is a backup. I am sure OSU has had backups worse than him

It's got to go to a qb that was rostered but didn't play.

I highly doubt any QB has been as bad as Bauserman. Previous coaching staffs were just smarter than the current coaching staff. Bauserman would never see the field under any other coaching staff at OSU as much as he has this season. He is the worst thing I have ever seen put on a Buckeyes uniform (in terms of playing ability).

3-24 in two road games. He is easily the worst qb I have ever seen at not only Ohio State but all of D1 college football. I can't imagine worse than that, I would hate to see it

Bauserman is, by far, the worst QB to start a game at OSU in my 40 plus years of watching games. Not even close.

You are saying he wouldnt see the field under any other coaching staff this much..umm wasnt he still the #2 when Pryor was here? The only reason he seen the field the other night was because on Miller being injured obviously. And Jim Tressel (see previous coaching staffs being smarter) recruited and made Bauserman (see the worst thing you have ever seen put on a Buckeyes uniform) the backup QB.

Um....isn't it the same coaching staff as was under Tressel? The only difference is Fickell is now considered the "Head Coach", even though we all know he doesn't call many, if any, of the shots. My point is, these guys are being loyal (just like JT was) to a fault. Bauserman isn't owed playing time or benefit of the doubt jsut because he has put in time. That shit needs to be earned and Bauserman hasn't earned anything except the criticism he is getting.

And I would like to add that if Tressel was HC this season, I doubt he would continue to throw Bauserman in there given his lack of performance. Fortunately for Tressel, he never had to put Bauserman in for more than a few series. If he were in the situation that this season's team has been, I can almost guarantee with certainty that Bauserman would have been lowered on the depth chart. If Tressel was willing to do that to an All Big Ten QB (Boeckman) he would for a garbage QB in Bauserman.

Bauserman would have been the starter at the beginning of the season even if Tressel was still there. If you recall the only reason that Troy Smith ever got a chance to play was because Justin Zwick got hurt. Everyone knew that Smith was better but Tress still stuck with Zwick and I think Smith would have never played if not for the injury because both were in the same class, but once Smith got in then Tressel had no choice but to continue playing him because it was then proven he was the much better QB. I have (to answer the question) I never seen a worse QB at OSU in 45 years of watching them play. I 100% agree with the poster who said he is the worst QB in D-1 football (easily) But I don't blame Bauserman for all OSU's woes, he does'nt start himself, the coaching staff is to blame.

I agree with this, however, I don't think he would have remained the starter.

Not sure if I believe this or not, but with that being said, I don't think the 2 situations are comparable. Zwick was/is 100X better than Bauserman.

Herbstriet and Bellasari are probably next to Bauserman the worst QB's that I've ever seen start at OSU but they were not even close to being as bad as Bauserman.

There is a HUGE gap between 1st and 2nd on this list. Unfortunately the guy with the big lead ended the game for the Bucks against Nebraska.

Rightfield (post right above), I agree wholeheartedly. Bauserman and then everyone else. But, Bellisari is the first that comes to mind as a distant second place...

once again, you guys are comparing #1 QBs to #2s. If you think Bellisari and Herby are the worst STARTERS in OSU history, how good were their back ups?

...A QB has to be be either A)be able to run & a slick ball handler or B) a gun slinger...(well at least he didn't MISS a wide open FAN in the 4th row in Lincoln), and Bauserman is NEITHER! So what is he then? Ball boy? trainer? For the Illinois game, give a towel and a roll of tape and hope someone doesn't tape him to the goal post!

Troy "TWHPIH" Smith may have the stats and a bogus Heisman but in leadership and integrity he is dead F'n last. Don't take my word for it, ask any of the punk's teamates.

I think Bob Hoying might have been Herbstreit's back-up in '92 (or at least was on the depth chart at the time), though just a freshman at the time.

Thank you very little for your input.
