Anyway, I think everyone realizes how instrumental Davis was to shaping today's NFL, but unfortunately the fact that he just let the game pass him by so badly in his last 10 years is also going to stick as well. Being as stubborn as he was was his greatest characteristic, and also a huge flaw all at once.

Wasn't trashing OSU or the Big Ten at all. can you post without thinking everyone is out to bash OSU and the Big Ten? Get a fucking clue.

Lets be honest, we all knew Al Davis would always reach for mediocre talent with amazing athleticism. Thats undeniable.

Who takes over? I'm not up to speed on his family heirs.

um you were saying the only reason TP was drafted is because of Al Davis. TP has to deal with OSU. Get a fucking clue.

He drafted him in the third round and was giving him a shot at qb. You do realize Davis' drafting history, correct? Again I wasn't blasting OSU or the Big Ten. Kindly stfu.

Two observations of Al Davis and both of them are correct.
1. From the 60's to the late 90's he was one of the greatest football minds.
2. From about 2000 until now he was bat shit crazy.

Too bad he didn't know when to hand over the controls of the Raiders.
